Seademon 0
I cant post on ED38 says the servers too busy so I'll try replying here if I dont get a critical error! Someone always pipes up and thinks Highlines are faster than other Golfs - all thats different on a Highline is the interior & the log book!

jesterwalker69 0
Hmmmm well this certainly highlights which site seems to have the more knowledgable members!! lol! it puzzles me as to why people write a comment that can easily be verified by facts yet they fail to check the relevent info out! Even i, a total VR6 rookie, know that the OBD2 engine kicks out more BHP then the older OBD1! As for a Highline having more power over a standard VR6.....BOLLOX!While i'm on the point of knowledgable members, i'd like to thank everyone on here for all the info you guys provide. i sit here for hours each night (i do have a life....somewhere lol) just reading all sorts of info everyone posts just to gain as much knowledge as i can before i start looking for my perfect VR6! so thanks lol! :-d

vr6madmike 0
t the end of the day im perfectly happy with what ever power im getting thats all that matters.
VR6Pete 1,455
Yep, I dont even know why there is a debate... everyone has there own reasons for choosing an OBD type... Pete

Pete[/quote']I think the debate only came about because the thread is about standard power figures and the 174bhp factory figure is notoriously low

I'm refering to the whole obd1 v's obd2 debate thats always crops up P
IbiVR 0
Not read it either, but OBD2 has MUCH better control over timing/knock so timing is more on the limit and you'll get better power under certain conditions.OBD1 hasnt got as much control so is tuned a little more on the safe side.Tom.
