Ive just made/mixed some 103octane fuel in the zaf and turbo starts to spool up quicker an got full boost nearly 500rpm sooner and with high iat it don't have any knock/detonation Miles better than the methanol mixes I've used before as it has higher energy content per unit than methanol (think bit more than petrol too) just this stuff is not easy to get hold of due to its other uses lol Saving last mix to try in the vr
  3. Check they don't protrude out of the block as you will get slight rod stretch at high revs
  4. How about the coolant temp sensor does that normally read slightly higher when on its way out???

  6. The standard duel mass flywheel weighs around 12kg on them!!! I got a light weight one from ttv racing 4.4kg it revs pretty quick so quick that in 1st and 2nd I thought my rev limiter came in at 5000rpm but the Rev counter can't keep up lol You can get cheaper flywheels off eBay but there from China and don't think they come properly balanced But whilst you doing that may as well do the clutch For the exhaust cheapest option is to get the standard mk5 manifolds and stainless down pipes with decats I think the miltek manifold is way over priced for little to no gains
  7. It looks like a standard pack with the plug taken off?? I've got a coil pack from a v64mo if you want to butcher it?
  8. Get a cheap v8 rs4 maf from eBay and swap the sensor over
  9. I think the vr6 has oil squirters as standard I like squirters lol

It's had a new turbo put on not so long ago and the feeds seem good no play in the shaft at all It's had the valve stem seals done before I picked it up Just need to get the remap tweaked and find a front mount intercooler and hopefully stop there and try not to get carried away as almost bought vxr injectors and hybrid turbo and maf lol
  11. New tyres new clutch engine mounts a better turbo back decat some tinkering to sort boost/vac leaks and its growing on me
  12. 2hours to hoover it and still can't get rid of the dog hairs and it stinks There is a couple dents some scrapes and rusty bonnet

  14. Well started doing the clutch on the zafira this morning and what a pain in the arse that is It's a bag of shit to work on At least the remap been done and both cats gone just need to get it to purr now
  15. Plan was to cut the old flange off and weld on the new one But getting 2 of the ports (cylinder2 and5) line up might be a bit tricky

  17. Also check the height of the Pistons if you get the block decked
  18. Well the difference is phenomenal now it's got closed loop and it's not over fueling it's socks off plus the little extra timing would of helped But compared to the standard ignition timing on a 4mo ecu it's pretty mild , so will be safe enough for when the charger goes on Next mission
  19. I know and I've thought about adapting the rear arches off a lancer evo6 Ideal would be to have all 4 arches pulled widen track about 30-40mm and U.S. Spec bumpers, skirts and front lowere splitter similar to the picture and the front bumper cut out near the grill All in good time
  20. Think I've used too much hammerite it's weighing front of car down lol Before I got the charger in my head I was going to try get this kit It's proving difficult and expensive

  22. Nope standard 12v vr6 ecu that came with car with a new semi mapped chip to understand the signal from the later type cam sensor and cam phase wheel mate no VVT
