I bought myself a pair of brand new genuine hella standard tails at the vw festival for a 5 er. .. so with borrowing some tint spray from Daveyboy, I keyed them and taped up and layer down 5 coats of red.. The camera picture doesn't do them justice. . Look really nice and red on the car in person.. but it beats the bill of £150+ for OEM from Germany lol..

Is everyone ready for the big day? I just need to give mine a good polish now. Put my wheels back on and had to lift my rear coilovers then flat and polished my engine cover and fuel cap still need to clean my engine bay too

I think possibly the worst job is selling it, I look at it every day and just know it's going to have to go, it's like I'm interviewing them to see if they will do a good enough job of continuing this cars legacy, not gonna fucking rust paint the bonnet and put a set of pink banded steels on it and a kiddies trike and miners lamp on the roof.

can you not use a mk2 golf gti rad fan switch take a feed from the batt (fused) to the switch in the rad then the switched side of the temp sensor then goes to your fans??
if they are big jobbies then use the rad switch to switch a contactor and use the contactor to switch the bigger load for the fans?
 
other than that you could run a seperate switch in the car somewhere and just switch it manually but then you need to keep an eye on the temp guage.
 
Unsure what supply in the f.b would be for the fans 

id be up for some bantaa as you say.car should be ready soon!

Well i quite like them although non neon colours though,just look abit standard but wide,abit of a retro touch from the day of the likes of reverse rims on mini, looks smart on old fords too.

Private plates that mean nothing, as in you clearly cant see what it means. If the last 3 letters are your initials i dont know who you are and you cant see them in your car so who does that impress......some are good if you can see the meaning some are just gay and a waste of time

just finishing up doing mine just as above really but i bought a roll of sealable sandwhich bags,what you take off bag it and write on it where there for and put them in free cardboard boxes you get from the supermarket because its too easy fot things to go missin and you wont remember everything no matter how hard you try.
 
If you pull the head is it worth rebuilding it while its off? not that much more of a job.
youll need a sump gasket too and beer....lots of beer
