    While i was checking out fault codes etc on the VR i noticed that at around 1500rpm the revs hunt up and down, kinda like a little misfire. and when the revs dip there is a fairly harsh vibration. it idles perfectly smooth and above 2k it doesnt seem to be that bad but maybe just less noticible No fault codes and i recently replaced MAF with a brand new one any suggestions welcome Ill also be linking a video shortly (no sound tho sorry) oyWyIfp73rs

    car felt like a right slug the last few days but the only fault code i hade was 00668 terminal 30 low voltage im not sure if this is just cos i had the battery off for 10 mins the other day but i cant really see why this would cause the car to run bad?? any suggestions welcome

    I'm using de ionized water. Quite cheap from halfrauds an g13 from my local vw supplier. Deionised water is just to reduce furring in the system. It's not a must but it will prolong the life of the coolant system

    when it says vag com does that mean he will be running live diagnostics during run so you can see that all your lambda an maf outputs are correct etc?

    if there was oil internally wouldnt you see some sort of sign of it through the exhaust?

    ive got this system its what we use to call the "pikey" tune up Rag the **** off it for a few mins and it will definately feel a bit more "eager" as you say pete, itd be nice to see some figures before an after

    That was in winter an I poured a boiling kettle down the door edge an over lock. Might not help you today but it my loosen something u never know

    Very odd that the key doesn't unlock it. As that would not require the pump. Unless the latch has seized I've had that on one door

    put the key in the ignition today and turned to 2nd stage (not cranking stage) puff of smoke came from the cowling, scared the hell out of me.....but then that was it My first guess would be the ignition switch arcing? what u reckon?

    Thanks mate, i must admit i know what you mean. it felt like the tcut was a complete waste of time I think i learned quite alot from my attempts and will certainly make an even better job of it next time. Didnt quite get that "glass" finish i was after!

    Then some of the other dubs from around the show Reason for the engine bay pic was that its on a P reg mk3 VR6 with coil pack but an OB1 throttle body??? Is this cos they have done a 2.9 Inlet mod?? im confused The Raddo has just been rebuilt an the guy who owns it runs the local VW spares Shop (my new best friend)
