  1. I assume if u leave it 5 mins with the battery on it won't start? By disconnecting the battery u are clearing the ecu of previous fault codes I think so that maybe a clue. If I was u I'd maybe try get fault codes read after uve run it and it won't start?
  2. Just a little problem i had with my VR when i bought it, but i thought id post up my findings incase they where ever usefull to anyone. Symptoms: Random stalling mainly once engine was up to temprature Bucking when travelling at constant speed (like it would of stalled if it was at idle) Diagnosis: Got it vag commed, Inconsistant voltage to Maf Got Maf from b&b componants £90+vat Running real smooth and no stalling YET

  8. well when i had a tiny knock on my audi a4 from bottom ball joint it was a fail an thats from an mot garage ive been using for 10 years and trust entirely. if its a harsh knock id be worried how it had passed
  9. i would say most MOT tester will fail knocking bottom ball joints, its a common issue on most vehicles and they tend to test them quite thoroughly I always tend to get friendly with my local garage so i can take the car away and fix the faults myself as said above tho it really is down to the individual tester
