  1. What you also need to rember is the the axle won't be 100% centre so you may get more poke one side than the other On my mk4 I had some bbs rc401 / 402s and on the rear I had a 20mm adaptor and a 23mm to get even poke I just fitted some borbet A's to the mk3 no spacers on the rear but there is a good 3mm difference in poke so I need to space the other one 3mm and get some camber shims to stop the rubbing on the one wheel that's poking out more and to keep the wheels looking the same Hope that makes sense
  2. Get some washers and some long m14 1.5 bolts and work it out that way saves a long of time and money if you buy the wrong ones
  3. So it revs up ok but you don't get much more speed, if that's right it sounds like the clutch mate
  4. It will prob take some getting use to but I'm sure you will be ok lol Just make sure you fit the abs ring on the boss properly
  5. Yes mate but you will have to drain the system (take the bottom rad hose off) the refill with g12++ (about £6 each from Vw) you will need 2 of them. Then top the rest up with water. Run engine up to temp let the fans cut in. Topping up as required, then leave it a few hours check the level and top up as needed, I think there is a how to guide somewhere on here with pic's
  6. Seen him offer you that on bookface mate Bargin although I do think the 280 is a bit small for the vr, keV and rob have the 300 and it feels really good Still a sweet wheel though
  7. It's a water level light mate not oil Open the bonnet it's on the top right you can't miss it!!
  8. Also the clutch is dying lol But I will put a new one in soon as I have a bit of time one Saturday
  9. Yep torque is in NM Also I would like flat caps but it took me ages to find a set of wheels in 5x100 so the search will begin for flat caps soon
  10. Fitted I still need to play with the hight a bit though
  11. Really???? That sounds good as the engine will be coming out next year to make way for it's bigger brother so that sounds good to me Sachs do a oem one for £89.99 is that a good buy
  12. You will see a header tank on the top right of the engine bay it will have a min and max mark on it, if your going to top it up use G12++ anti freeze from Vw, also if the water level has gone below the bottom of the pot you will need to re bleed the system Vr6s run very hot so make sure this is sorted soon as if not and it over heats it will blow a headgasket very easily
  13. The temp light flashing is the water level in the header tank mate check your anti-freeze is topped up
  14. Hi all I did a few searches but still not 100% on the best clutch for my vr Basically my clutch is starting to slip under hard acceleration I only use the car weekends really so I'm in no rush to do it, but would like to do it right The car has a stage 2 vf charger on it And the last rr was 280bhp so I would like a clutch that can handle that, but I would still like it to be road drivable. I think getting a Puk clutch will be to harsh for the road Can you please post up what clutch you are running How much you paid (parts only) Where you got it from Are you N/A, charged or turbo'ed Thanks al
  15. Not the best pics and the ride hight has got to be sorted A's this was just a trail fit
  16. Well had a power run today as I popped up to the south west in car tech open day. I was quite happy with it, as I know it's over fueling and a few other problems It pulled 258.9 BHP and 193.3 torque Its the last run before the engine comes out and the fun begins Few pics :
  17. Dta direct mate £750 + vat if I rember correctly
  18. I'm going DTA S60 mate The ecu is pretty much self learning for a base map
  19. When I refitted mine (also a brand new housing) it leaked from the housing and the head I took the coil pack off to get some room and there was a lot of build up of crap around where it needed to seal so I rubbed it down with a bit of wet and dry. Refitted and it was all good
  20. I'll be there as it's just up the road from me
  21. All fixed now, the needle on the gauge was getting stick, so a few puffs with the airline and it's all good
  22. Yeh I'm going mate but not in the vr
  23. I would do the same that's on mine mate toad ai606 cat1 alarm and immobiliser Total closer, remote central locking Basically everything you would want from a alarm It would be £220 fitted mate
