HELP HELP Garage Knacked my Car!!!
trackday replied to grantnunn's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
check to see if the garage is registered with the RMI or Good Garage Scheme as you can complain to them other than that tell him to do one he has damaged it he should repair it as long as he didnt warn you it could happen which i expect he wouldnt of. if he still wont budge pay by cheque get your keys then cancel the cheque when you get home lol, seeing this does my head in as being a mechanic myself it gives us a really bad name,if i had done it and was my fault i would of repaired it free of charge!!! find yourself a different garage look out for one' in the good garage scheme and in the RMI -

final drive changed in the VR tested and at Rockingham
trackday replied to trackday's topic in Transmission
yeah the drive is out of the corrado i was goin to go for a 3.94 but glad i didnt now well worth it and on the hankooks not bad in dry, shi# in the wet was all over the place gonna go for federals next as my mates ran allot faster in the wet and they are great in the dry as well. -
Some of you may remember i wasnt happy with how the vr struggled out of corners on the track,so i had the box out and changed the final drive from the standard 3.30 too a 4.26 and what a differance, she is allot more responsive out of the corners and i can keep up with my mate in his 306 gti6 which i couldnt before, max speed is about 125 but it gets there allot quicker and the gears are allot more user freindly so im well pleased with it and would reccomend it!!!

dodgy oil pressure switch could be faulty but i would go level first, then switch then worst case sump, also have you changed the oil lately and is the right grade in there? if its too thin it will be sloshing round the sump too much
