  1. I've got one of these ready to fit, but want to know will it fit the standard system, and will it make any difference? Also when ordering new systems, do you have to state a specific bore to match the manifold, or do they come with reducers etc?

  6. You need to pull a yellow wire from the back of the light switch. If I can find my thread, it's in there what you need to do, as was told to me, and it worked perfectly

  9. Same here...normal unleaded...fuel prices are getting rediculous.....if they get much higher, god forbid I may have to consider selling the VR, or at least using it at weekends only but that means 2 cars 2 lots of ins mot and tax!!!!!
  10. my mate had a 130 bora, was a lovely car. tried loads of times to get it off him, eventually 3rd gear and water pump failed, that was at 190k. he's now got a 115 bora, only cos he couldn't find a 130 at a good price. go for it, you won't regret it

  12. Bump I've just seen these wheels and you'll never guess where!!!!!! They were on the Skoda Fabia VRS add on the tv............. Same pattern, colour even the last few inshes of the spokes flattening out!!!!!!!!!! sorry if I've just ruined the exclusivity....
  13. Nice motor, best colour!!!!!! Now see I liked the wheels it came on, the wheels you've fitted are nice, but my preference is for the others.....easier to clean for one thing, see more of the brakes as well. But good job so far. Keep us up to date. You going for another mag article!!!!!;-)

Right, so far the car hasn't lost any water, but it hasn't been used much, think it's done about 100 miles so can't say much about water leaking, however, on each journey, the temperature is only getting to 80 when moving, rises to 90 when stationary, but only after sitting still for 5 mins or so, then as soon as you start to move again, it drops to 80...... any ideas? thermostat sticking open? faulty sender? over to you guys

  17. I've lost approx pint of coolant. I've never topped it up since I've owned the car, thats October. This is the first time it's been low...well that I've noticed anyway!!!!!

  19. I only do 6 miles each way, no smell of coolant in the car, I let the car warm up!! a bit tonight, as I had to defrost the screen!!!!!! I haven't noticed any coolant anywhere, if memory serves, the car got to it's operating temp this morning.
  20. when I went to work this morning, I had to scrape the ice off the screen (surprise surprise!!!), when I left work this evening, I went to scrape the ice off the screen again, only to find it was on the inside??!!!! where it wasn't this morning. also for the first time today my car didn't get to 90c. When I got home, got the torch out and had a quick look. top hose was quite warm, not hot, I could keep my hand on the pipe. The bottom hose was luke warm only. Pipes coming out of the heater matrix were hand hot on top, just warm on bottom. Also I noticed that the fluid level was slightly low, whi
