    BLOODY HELL!!!!!!........ WHAT a read............... and you broke it at the end!!!!!!!!!! That was some serious work and full credit to you. Well it's made my mind up...............I neither have the skills or equipment to even contemplate something that big, and I definitely can't afford to pay someone to do it either, so it looks like I'll be sticking with fwd and a mildly tuned engine............200-225bhp will have to do!!!!! I'm gonna go down a different route to make my car mine...............

    It's going to be a LONG term project, as I have to use the car daily. So what I intend to do is to gather the bits I need for the engine, then when I've got everything, I'll do the conversion. The wheels brakes suspension etc will be done over a period of time. The engine will be the last thing to be done. I'll be able to decide on my route that way. I had thought about a supercharged 3.2 unit, but I don't want too much power that I can't use it!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe a supercharged standard engine with 2.9 block and lower compression pistons to cope with the boost. Whatever I do, it needs to be rel

    So How do you get useable torque over big bhp? I would like a sub 5 second car, but this might not be practical for a front wheel drive car. What sort of mods would be best for torque?

    What is a realistic useable BHP figure for a front wheel drive car? A lot of people think that anything over 300bhp and the car struggles to get the power down, and will just spot on the spot and crab sideways. So whats everyones opinion? Especially interested in those with the power!!!!!!!

    Seeing as I only live 7 miles away, I'm flexible on meeting times. Where does everyone want to meet? I suppose the service station is a good start, then we could all roll in together in a cacophony of V6 noise!!!!!!!!!!!!!     Isn't that the whole point of the car scene, to be different. Each to their own otherwise it would be a very boring scene everyone having the same looking car. To be fair, it doesn't look that bad and I'm sure we've all seen worse looking VR's, you know, the one's with nasty paint jobs and big body kits!!!!!!! Now BE HONEST, how many secretly think that's not bad at all. Me, I like the front of the Mk2. I prefer it on the front of a Mk2, but I wouldn't be embarrassed to drive that car.......     SWEEEEET..... except for not having the car at home for a while..... what power you pushing out? and does all the extra power make it unreliable then?...
