  3. I've got Hellas with 6000k HID's in mine.... Now for the MOT bit...My mate is a tester and I asked about this law regarding the headlight, his reply was "there doesn't have to be an automatic/switch controlled self levelling system in the car. There has to be the facility to align the headlights correctly". This is ALREADY on the Hella lights and the standard lights, so don't worry about that bit. I also asked about the inclusion of headlamp washers, he said "that the ministry hasn't told him anything about this, and doesn't know where it came from." I am going up to his house tonight to drop

  8. Cupra is a nice car but it's NO VR6!!!!!!
  9. 3 hours tops for a decent garage.....longest job would be changing over the steering rack, followed by bleeding it!!!!!
  10. Try using a stud extractor, not the type that grips a bit of stud sticking out, but one that looks like a drill bit.....
  11. May I ask WHY you want top turn your R32 into 2WD??????
  12. The straight edge of the bulb sits up against a TAB on the light and they are held in place by a spring clip....Make sure the spring clip is clipped in on both sides as this could lead to a wayward beam....
  13. AHHHH but you're wrong........ You CAN see a difference!!!!! Nice going so far.......
  14. Firstly you gotta make ya mind up man.....NIKON or NOKIA you keep changing!!!!!!!!!!......... The D series cameras from Nikon are the normal everyday SLR, where electrical contacts on the body where the lens goes in send power to the motors in each lens. This is the most common type. I don't know how the new compact looking thing from Nikon works, so can't comment on this. With regard to your magnifier effect yes and no. The image is not magnified as such, it's the impression that you get. Basically with a FULL FRAME sensor DSLR, you get the same image size as a film camera, with the APS sens
  15. I have the 55-250 with IS, as a spare lens, it takes excellent images, and I think you will be hard pressed to better it, especially at the price you paid for it. The 18-55 I'm guessing is NON IS, aparently the new IS version is head and shoulders above the old one, but I would go for the 15-55 if you can find one!!!!!
  16. The new range off compacts are very capable cameras, the problem comes when you want to enlarge, and when you need real creative control....... They also have VERY limited lens range. Having a reasonably specced DSLR is a better bat, and remember, you don't HAVE to use all it's functions to start with....How many times do you shot in FULL manual mode doing your own metering etc... Mostly shot in AV or TV mode as this is usually creative enough for most....also don't forget editing software..........Another whole new world can VERY NEARLY make a bad picture good nowadays!!!!!!!!!
  17. I personally would buy a second hand Canon EOS 40D......High spec and still considered to be a competent machine.......for NOT a lot of money at all............. But as I said before, go and handle a few, they are different, even though the look the same. EG, Canon cameras are slightly bigger than Nikon and slightly heavier...........
  18. Thats understandable.....it's a Canon.............. Which model do you have? What lenses are you using?
  19. Ex Post Office LDV..........
  20. OOOOHHHHH something for me to get my teeth into........ Bridge camera is what you're talking about, they are ok for a snapper that requires a little bit more, but for sports and weddings they just don't cut it... the issue is the size of the sensor the pixels are too small, so when you get to enlarge an image, it will grain out much sooner...... You would be MUCH better off looking at a proper digital SLR from one of the big companies i.e. Canon, Nikon, Pentax Olympus and Sony or Sigma. But be carefull, as 3 maybe 4 of the above use what is called a 4 thirds sensor, whilst bigger than a Compac
  21. That was James May.......and NO I'm not interested in a lego garage........my son would take it apart and make a castle!!!!!!!!!
