  1. Have tried cleaning the throttle body, that's what happened on my GTi after a good clean it seemed to solve the issue.
  2. Mine sits at 90 too Deano and doesn't budge. Even when the fans come on i don't really really notice the temp gauge go up?
  3. Is it water from condensation? have you checked they are sealed properly where you connect them?

    water leak

Check door seals too. When i had a water leak i took the entire interior out checked everyhing but i still had water coming out! Also check behind the door cards, there is a plastic sheet, if that has been taken off like mine was, water will come through there.
  5. Well over the weekend, i decided to joey up my headlights. Seeing as black doesn't tie in with my colour scheme, i did this... Before: (old pic) [img width=640 height=360]http://i589.photobucket.com/albums/ss334/wherry112/25052010079-1.jpg During:  [img width=640 height=360]http://i589.photobucket.com/albums/ss334/wherry112/04102010171.jpg After: [img width=640 height=360]http://i589.photobucket.com/albums/ss334/wherry112/04102010172.jpg In the pictures you can't really see the difference but in person it looks awesome!! [img width=640 height=360]http://i589.photobucket.com/albu
  6. Right latest thing to happen was to de-wiper the rear and bung it up (for now!) [img width=640 height=360]http://i589.photobucket.com/albums/ss334/wherry112/28092010163.jpg
  7. Car looks sweet!! (H) Where are you sourcing all the chrome goodies from?
  8. Love this car it's awesome! (H) All the stuff i would like to do, but can't! lol
  9. Right here is my latest project I've taken on: Bought these wheels with almost two brand new tyres on, one crappy one and one with out! What they looked like (Rather corroded!) [img width=640 height=360]http://i589.photobucket.com/albums/ss334/wherry112/14082010135.jpg Sent them off to be sand blasted £25 per wheel. Declined the option to have them primered for an extra £40. They came back primered for free!!! Centre caps before and after: [img width=640 height=360]http://i589.photobucket.com/albums/ss334/wherry112/31082010150.jpg Here's my progress so far: [img width=640 height=360]
  10. Took a few new snaps last night, all done on my camera phone!!! lol Hope you like! An my favs! (H) There is more but haven't got them at the moment!
  11. My next bit of goodies to go on... Mmmmmm SUCTION!!! Induction kit is on with the new 83mm hose, have managed to direct the kit to face the inner corner side of the wing, away from the engine so should pick up cold air. If not i'll run the cold air feed. Here are some pics!!
  12. A nice little package arrived for me in July with the shiny bits i was waiting for almost a month!. Venom were good at keeping me in the loop as to what stage we were each week. Cat back stainless steel scorpion exhaust with a Jetex Decat pipe. on the car:
  13. Got some stickers made up for me from a friend on the GolfGTI.co.uk Forum. The VR6 and VW badge. Wasn't so sure at first but really like it now
  14. Black bumpers annoyed the sh!t out of me, so i did a test to see if i could/would like a colour coded car! I did use etch primer as i was too cheap to buy plastic primer but this is only a trial and i know it will/has started to peel and crack Didn't like the black bumper and arch trim colour, but i liked the look and texture. So instead of going down the dearch route. I decided to give it a colour code myself i had previously done the grille (which was the 1st thing i sprayed) and it came out okay, then i did the spoiler which also came out okay. Bit the bullet and £50 later i had: couple
  15. Next i decided that i didn't like the orangey in the lights and that i wanted either just clear or red! This will hopefully sick with my theme New side repeaters: New front fogs with built in tow eye blank and new indicators: And lastly, not to everyones taste but the clear and red rear lights:
  16. Did a little clean up of the engine bay. Trying to go for a white/burgundy theme First got it: Engine cover and quick clean: As it stood about 3 monts ago: Decided to get my old debaged grill and give it a spray Spraying: On the car: I like it with the badge on (H)
  17. Didn't like the way the engine bay looked, quick clean later and an engine cover we have this: Before: After: The head unit was pants so i fitted my Sony DVD player with a flip out 7" screen (Screen doesn't come out now automatically, you have to pull it ) Ditched the old rubbish momo gear knob for this: Bigger updates on the way! (H)
  18. Turned 21, thought "Lets get rid of the MK3 8v GTi and treat myself to a VR6!" after some searching I stumbled upon a cheap VR6 with slight rear damage, unfortunately it had been declared a CAT C write off. I figured i would go take a look anyways as i wanted to do a conversion into a Mk2 at some stage. Turned out the damage wasn't as bad as i first thought, Channel Island garage charges are stupidly high, this being an old car, meant it wasn't feasable for the insurance company to fix it! It was bought back of the insurance and in the end, it ended up in my hands. I'm hoping to restore it to
  19. The problem with JOM/Jamex/Hottuning is you get what you pay for. I've always said pay cheap get cheap. I want Adjustable Dampering as well and none of them offer that. I was hoping people on here ran FKs and could advise me how good they are for the money? It's a lot of £££ so i wanna get it right the first time! :-d
