    Went to Early Edition and cam back with Runner Up mk3. was well impressed, wasnt expecting it at all! finally some rollers on the way back

    Thanks made a few changes ready for elsecar today fitted the votex rear spoiler Swapped the votex splitter for the ABT one (votex needs repairing) the biggest change.... the wheels

    nearly a year since i updated.... well alot has gone on, where to start The car won runner up mk3 at early edition I picked up a votex from a mate who was breaking his mk3 I know alot of people dont like the votex kit but i love it next thing to arrive was red BBS centre caps my mate done a trial with red flock and i ended up with a new engine cover Then not much really changed, the car went to vwfest and edition It came off the road after edition and we made a start in december with the new mods.     im trying to make my mk3 quieter it is stupid loud no matter how you drive it. Ive started to wear earplugs! im going to be sound deadening the back and the tunnel to try and reduce noise in the cabin would a butterfly valve also help with this? can you get them that arent electronically controlled? The system is pretty much 6branch - straight through to backbox dont get me wrong it sounds unreal outside, but inside its more than annoying Thanks

    Thanks, the interior was getting alot of looks and good comments. Had to put the window down cos it was getting full of hand marks haha

    dont think it will be springs. had the coilies off over winter an didnt notice anything broken doesnt sound like droplinks (had them go before on previous cars) which top mounts are best to buy?

    when driving i can hear a knocking noise and from what I can gather its coming form the front (could e wrong though). The noise isnt a consistent noise which leads me to believe it might not be wheel bearings. However there is slight play on the drivers side wheel when its jacked up (the hub nut is tight!) The noise is the same when turning and it more noticeable at slow speeds... like 3point turns could this be top mounts?

    So ive got no brake rear lights. they were fine until we started stripping the car down (engine out type stuff). Every other light works.... Not the bulbs or fuses. Replaced the switch on the pedal for a difference one and still no look The connectors are in the holders on the lights themselves Any ideas? need it sorted ASAP Thanks

    used a blow torch and "the big hammer" drive shaft is out and CV boot is half fitted (left the new outer CV at home).... will continue tomorrow

    So first problem is the larger driveshaft is stuck in the hub and wont budge. secondly, they threads on it are foobar'd so the outer CV needs replacing. Ive got spares so is it a case of just bashing the foobar'd CV off? any technique in doing this? Thanks

    Would you be able to check if they work Im,still having no luck finding any bolts. two local places cant match the thread pattern and having no luck online

    So were did people get the longer bolts from? IVe been to 2 companies and they both couldnt do them! need them on the car ASAP!

    while the engine is out, it would be rude not to tart the engine and gearbox up a bit Im going to use brush paint compared to spray, just due to ease, but which to go for? The VR gets stupid hot as we all know , so which paint is best suited? Ive been told Hammerite will be fine if used thinly Then again others have said to use enamel paint.... I was looking through Frost's catalogue and they have quite a wide range, maybe too many, and i have no idea which to go for any ideas? Thanks

    i like that ^ 18" fifteen 52s and kamei arch kit i think works soo well with the 90s theme bring back 90s spec!

    its really sloppy. goes into gear no problems but theres alot of play think its something else rather than engine mounts tbh
