Basically I have bought my fire damaged vr back from insurance... Bar the engine bay, it is being stripped for parts and I have someone who wants a load of bits, but dont know what i should sell them for as a collective whole. Soooo... I was wandering if anyone could give me a rough idea of a fair price for the following parts to all be sold together... 4 windows 4 window motors Complete interior inc. door cards (minimal bolster wear, car only had 84k on the clock) All side mouldings Sun roof motor Any help would be much appreciated thankies!!!

I have picked myself up a black vr, higher mileage than was hoping but FVWSH, very good condition, very good leather interior and importantly for me climatronic instead of dials. Had it in the dead one, prefer them to dials. Hopefully pick her up tomorrow. She is a blank canvas Let the games begin! Thanks for the comments guys. Sadly being female, you become even more attached to these things so this weekend was depressing but looking up

Sadly, it probably is something as stupidly simple as that. The battery hasnt been touched for months, so god knows. Talk about aggrevation!

Literally just started smoking at the lights so i got out and then some flames started and the battery popped and those lovely rare hellas melted. The interior is fine but clearly the engine bay has seen much better days. No one hurt, only me in the car. Got a VR and a VR highline to look at on Sunday hopefully.

My world turned into a bigger pile of poop yesterday than it has already become this year. (bring on 2012) But I just thought I would share these with you guys. I'm gutted. Was sat at some traffic lights when I saw smoke... this is whats left.

I average about the same as everyone else, and I love using her as a daily best i got was 38mpg and the worst is town journeys about 26mpg. -

The Police have seen me now and said there is nothing they can do because of no proof, which i totally understand and wouldn't kick up about. I just really wanted it on the system so it has been reported. They are going to look into the CCTV, but knowing the guy it was him. maybe time will tell. It is just so dis heartening when people have expenisve hobbies like us and others have no respect for it.

Well the Police are paying me a visit this afternoon, so who knows. I was only with the guy for 2 n a half months but they are treating as a domestic. hmmm He knew it would gut me to do something to my car. His family are the type who don't care what they do to whom, so i have no idea what the outcome will be should the police do anything. I guess it is even worse that he proved me right when i knew he would do something.

I had my car keyed in Asda car park on Friday night. I even knew who did it as i saw an ex bf in there leaving as i came in but he doesnt know i saw him. Very deep double scratch on the front passengers door and 2 on my bonnet. I spoke to Asda secuirty about it and there response was 'the cameras are rotating so the chances of us catching him leaving here or doing anything at the particulr point in time is minimal' So what exactly is the point of having cameras anyway??? I have reported it to the Police, but i very much doubt anything will come of it. I recon there is possibly anything up to Â

Wow well how strange is that, I thought my tax had gone up a lot. I paid £105.25 last year for 6 months and now it is £112.75 going up by £7 and for 12 months it is £205. That is quite an epic difference.

Nightmare. Mine has only started doing it since i changed the battery, But the other was just dying. I can never hear much in mine with things like that as the climatronic kicks in as i start it. So it is another noise to listen over. Keep me posted if you find out before me please -
Sooo... I had stopped driving the VR as a daily and the battery was flat when i tried to start her after 4 days... so i charged it... lasted all weekend and was fine when i started her the following weeked. Then after the weekend i tried to start her 2 days later.... flat. So i thought maybe the battery has had enough as it had been flat and re-charged many times ( due to me forgetting to take the headunit front off) So i bought a new battery. During the school holidays i am using her as a daily and she starts fine whenever she is cold... However starting her when hot/warm... 50% of the time s

I like this thread! I didnt get my windscreen replaced, I didnt clean her or empty her of rubbish, I didnt raise the coilies cuz she is scrubbing my tires away I didnt ask my friend if he has a new arch roller yet I didnt get the climate control re-gassed!

Wow that is poor! Glad you got your dollar back. I'm thinking 'portable' ones would be a lot less reliable. Anything can go wrong in transport.

Well a couple of the guys had the same results as last time and one of them had dropped since last time, but thats because his fuel was running rich, so i would say it was pretty spot on too.

Wow thats insane! It seems you just pee-d quite considerably on my fire! I posted this up on another forum and some guy quickly told me that i shouldnt be so impressed due to whether the RR had been calliberted often and recently and all weather conditions etc. When i questioned matey at the RR about air density etc he just said that the fan and RR should compensate for all of those things. I know there are always variables but I'm sticking with my story of 181
