    I know the ecu would adjust itself to a point, But i would have thought new cams and intake would need some fine tuning. Just not sure which cams to go with anyone know a set up they have had that works well?

    Update i finaly got vag com to work with my car . I had a low voltage drop. Cleared the fault and fans are all working, just my dash is at fault at the mo but i will be pulling them out to see if i can find something wrong with them. Hope this helps some people out for future threads

    Update i finaly got vag com to work with my car . I had a low voltage drop. Cleared the fault and my fans kick in so thank fook no melting will happen. But still no reading on the dash will have to pull them out and see if i can see something wrong with them.

    I have just replace the thermostat and hosuing, Then i noticed the bottom water hose from my rad is cold when the rest of the hoses and hot. Is this normal ??

    No not yet i have change almost every sensor the only one i have not checked is the fan switch in the rad. So am going to bridge the plug on the fan switch and see if i get any life from that.

    Yeah but i cant get it to read the ecu yet for some reason need to dig the manual out. Been i while since i last used it

    My temp gauge is not working, i was wondering if there is any test i can do on my clocks to see if the gauge is working on my clocks.

    Yeah i checked them, i did have the fans working with one of the sensors i replaced but the fans where on all the time. So i had to change the sensor to another one but still no joy. I was thinking of taking the clocks out to see if the problem was there but i have no idea of how to check if the gauge is faulty on the clocks.

    I cant get a reading on the dash for my temp and the fans dont kick in. I have had the fans working so they are ok. Anyone with any ideas would be a big help thanks.

    I have vag com but have not used it for a bit and not on my new motor. But i cant get it to connect to the ecu does anyone know how to set it up?

    update, i now have a black sensor with the yellow band and still the same. I am stuck with this now i dont know why am not getting a reading on the dash or my fans wont kick in. Check all the fuses.

    I cant get a temp reading on my dash . I have change the thremostat i have replace the blue 2 pin sensor and the 4 pin yellow sensor. Which they gave me a brown one but i told them thats for air con models but he asured me it was the right one. Fitted the new sensor and my fans kicked in all the time. Took it back and he said you will have to go to vw. I rang them up they said we are not listing a 4 pin yellow part no 7019193698. So i now have a black 4 pin with a blue band around it and yes this one does'nt work. Does any one know which part no i need to replace the yellow 4 pin sensor. Than
