    Am i right in thinking the late spec 288 front calipers runs the same pad as a - audi 1.8t '99 on golf 1.8t '99 on audi tt '99 on etc... just i have had a couple of different part numbers for ebc and i thought they are the same pad size?

    well had a good look around it and looks mint all around even the black leather recaro's look new, going to pop in the garage tommorow for a chat and get the history, just think i would miss the vr, are they really much faster seen as there 225bhp std?

    spotted it this eve, red, bbs ch's, immaculate condition, 130k tho which is more than my vr, i wasnt on the lookout to replace the vr but at £3895 i am tempted, anybody know if this is good or overpriced? cheers

    is there any particular calipers i need to look for? eg mk4 1.8t with solid rear discs? do they just fit my std discs?

    not as yet but i will check in the garage when i finish work later this eve, should be able to see past the caliper,

    yeh i have been before its pretty good lots of tradestands for various forms of motorsport but the live action arena is the highlight or the merc amg driving experince was pretty good too

    im guessing its the pads then as there is still room for adjustment left on the cable, mot due in two weeks so need to sort it asap, any recomendations for the pads?

    handbrake now adjusted but still struggles to hold on a hill, any ideas?

    Ha ha it sure did i couldn't resist the free pair.. cheers i think they are still growing on me at the moment so i will see as i was also thinking of just going for originals with smoked inners

    Finally got around to getting a quick picture of the new headlights fitted, not even had time to give it a good wash yet due to long hours at work at the moment:-( This also arrived through the post but im waiting for it to be painted before fitting.

    does the handbrake have to be disengaged when doing this? cheers

    My handbrake has to be pulled far too high now for it to function so can someone advise how to adjust it or if i need to replace anything in the process? thanks

    right, still got some brand new oem mudflaps for front and rears to fit but as im going lower im unsure now and think it may look a little odd as well as catching every where, got a few more updates too but will take some pics when i get some time away from work in the daylight.

    yes thats the one, obd 1 with the flat four connector so just pushed the pins in my connector just need to find the correct colour order of the wires as iv tried several and taped them up

    Thanks for that luke, yes they look the same but mine doesnt have the block connector that connects to the car as mine has different fittings , will try post a pic later :^)

    Ha ha yes quite alike, yes the rear plinth is a cult society one, still retains the boot button and lock but with this plinth it is concealed underneath and can still be opened with the key, if you want some closer pics then let me know and i will take some for you

    Latest update Just a quick pic of my scorpion exhaust, had it fitted a few weeks now, i much prefer the tailpipe to my old twin round. just need a new exhaust mount as the rubber on the original is a little worn then i hope it will sit a little closer to the bumper. Also just swapped my headlights for a set of morettes which are now fitted so will sort out a pic soon and have a debadged grill to fit once painted.

    Hmmm im puzzled, my outer units seem to be sidelight, main and full beam, i must have wired something up wrong just looking for the correct colour wiring order from somewhere

    Just fitted some morettes today and wired them up, work fine thru sidelights and main beam but the inner lamp units dont work on either or full beam, what are the inner lamps used for or does anybody have a wiring diagram? thanks
