  1. Hi there, bit of a long shot but is there any members in the southwest (ideally cornwall) have vag-com so i can check my fault on my abs please? Thanks

  3. Had it at a vag specialist this eve but only had bosch diagnostic equipment so it couldnt be plugged in on my early obd1, He said it could be a fault on the wiring down to the sensors on the calipers but wont know until he strips it down, anyone have any thoughts on this that may help? cheers

  7. got a problem with the abs on my 1992 vr, failed the mot on it today. its not working at all according to the mot tester and the light on the dash is constantly on. anyone have any ideas? i asked if it could be a sensor and he replied something more serious... he wasnt much help lol. im unsure how the abs system works so could it be the pump maybe? any help much appreciated

  11. i had this same problem yesterday in the passenger footwell a small puddle had formed, will try the drainage holes tomorrow , must have been alot of rain recently for people to have the same problem lol
  12. took the steering wheel off earlier, all connections fitted as they should, will check the fuse next can anyone tell me which fuse im looking for?

  14. no it was fitted to the car when i purchased it and didnt work previously just with the mot creeping up i would like to get the few bits sorted before hand
  15. At the moment the horn isnt working, i have a momo steering wheel and hub kit fitted, any ideas to what it may be? im not very good with electrical probs.
  16. Hey i just bought a pack of rubber gromets from my local halfords which came with 3 different sizes i think they were only £1.99 so my cheapest mod yet..lol, unsure how low it is at the moment but doesnt catch with the 17's so will go lower this week..weather permitting

Well after coming across an s3 for sale this evening its played on me a little too much but for the minute i need to focus on the car i still have and continue to enjoy. latest purchases consist of- 288mm discs, calipers, carriers.. Thanks to editionmatt Ebc redstuff ceramic front pads and greenstuff rears. New oe rear discs Goodridge hoses sharan stubby aerial now fitted will post up some pics when i fit them
  18. looks very nice mate, the one thats for sale is red (not normally a fan of red cars) like i said on 18" bbs ch's and lowered it looks pretty damn good

  20. lol, i may have started something now, thanks for your opinions and i agree to both its just using the vr every day for work on muddy country lanes (40 miles a day) i feel the vr is a little fragile in those conditions and also feel it deserves better. in an ideal world i would have both;) may just take it for a test drive tomorrow and check its history and keep you posted.
  21. so the s3 much better then? it just seem very solid, more refined and overall a better package in the long run but it is alot newer than mine as mine is a j plate vr.
