    basically im off to newquay tommorrow and jus wanna give it a quick clean as i never have. only place i can get to is halfords.....wot do u suggest i get? or wot sorta thing am i looking for? elctronic solvent cleaner stuff? cheers, dan

    yea how does it get on with the oil capacity? i wanted to do this but was strongly advised against it.......cant c it being a huge difference tho. how much was ur r32 pickup?

    yea? i havent taken it off so unsure wot it really all looks like. is the tensioner hydrolic? no.11 was listed 'tensioner' so would that be right?

    i been vw today to have a look, and the very nice man printed this off for me.....unfortunatly he didnt have a clue lol. i wanna order the right bits here and the guy didnt kno, im assuming 15 is the upper guide, 13 upper chain tensioner rail, but wot is the tensioner bolt. is it 10? cheers, wanna do this before a 12 hour round trip to newquay! will do chains soon as i can afford it. cos ive built (near enough) a new gearbox and will be fitting a clutch when that goes in - so easy enough to do it all properly then. but no funds at all atm.

    haha 167000 without em done! well no reciept anyways..... its deffo making a noise, and it gets wilder the higher the revs. did the belt tensioner bearing in hope it was this but werent, and spose if i think about it it sounds like a loose chain sorta noise......cant afford for it to skip a tooth or anything. cheers, will look at getting parts together. kno wot u mean with the money lol! thought about selling the vr a couple of times - by far my fav car ive owned, and the best sounding ever, but it takes away from the fun a bit when u havent got any money to service it...

    mines standard 15's, no arch mods and its about 110 down on front. the only problem i have is the sump is now 2" off floor.....no scrubin or anything

    is this the least u can get away with changing? mines really rattly now but i havnt got the funds for full job atm.......and ive got a trip to newquay and 3 trips to essex next month - thats 2000 miles ontop of the daily commute and running about! its an ob1, ta

    lookin unlikely i'll be able to make it :-( ....will see in morning. the clutch pedal has actually fallen off my misses lupo! so have to do that before monday.......looks like the whole steering assembly has to come out to get the pedal box out

    my back box rusted off, bodged another one on but between the 'suitcase' silencer and over the rear beam has gone now! pain in the arse cos im so poor! and the drone is doing my head in! anyways, the question is im after a cat back system.....lookin 2nd hand on ebay and that.....but does the GTI one fit? seen a remus 1........

    getting there! bored tonight so got my arse into gear and got this far yes im building it in the garden! not sure how long we all got jobs so had bring it home :-( bloody recession! running out of room round her parents house doing tensioner, was gonna fit sub but got in a muddle with the line out converters and all that lark...
