    i put the outside two spade connectors on the oil filter housing the wrong way round and that kept bringing the alarm on, maybe worth checking for a possible simple fix.

    constant damp weather did the same to mine, started going off whenever it felt like it, then i had to kill it completely after smoking and bubbling siren box got yanked out just before a serious car fire started. it happened outside my local go kart track,i had no tools, must have looked odd,some bloke smashing his engine bay up with a steering lock, but luckily it had enough weight on it to smash the wires out of the siren unit and stop the bubbling plastic from catching, i couldnt just yank the wire as it had no coating left and was very very hot (as i found out when i grabbed it ouch!) .

    rap ,when youve spent 12 thousand pounds of your hard earnt money on your car you might understand it. could you replace my car to the exact same spec if you wrote it off ,without making me wait a year to source parts and make me wish id never let anyone else drive it, and how many people have experience of driving a front wheel drive car with over 400 bhp. those are the reasons i wont let anyone drive my car !
