Ahh thank u ppl! Thats well helpful! He hasnt even got the car yet, but he is planning on getting it this year then starting to buy stuff bit by bit until he has everything he needs to do it i think. Ill have a chat to him tonight and let him know what you've all said, but thats been mega helpful, cheers guuuuys!!!! :)

Think ill drag my mate and his sis up there but they'll go up in her lil polo gti so i might be cruisin up passengerless to the sound of the vr roar (and some heavy duty drivin music) So what.... friday afternoon/evening??? Ill get them to sort their arses out too so we all can get the friday off work (cleaning day) :)

Id just stop being a lazy tight arsed sod and get ur car whacked thru the mot and save the hassle of having to go in twice, its gotta be done so you might aswell get it done now and save the s**t.

Try speaking to ventovr6essex1 he makes custom made ones and everyone raves about them. I think everyone was having the same problem with getting one to fit so Brett decided to fabricate his own that fits great and i think he does them for a good price too. just do a member search and send him a pm....

If you join up as a premium member for 15 quid then you get good discounts with a few and they insure mods happily. Once you have signed up to be a premium member there is a link to companies that give discount... (Like 10% at GSF) i saved my 15 membership fee in the first 3 days of havin my card through!! lol.

Ok so my mate basicaly said he'd be happy to get around 300bhp out of a turbo for now and look to maybe upgrade it in the future as he doesnt think he would have to uprate so much of the other bits.... Im not sure how true this is guys so can you please help me out. If he is looking at bolting on a turbo to get around the 280 - 300bhp mark then how much would he be looking at to do that and how much of the other stuff has to be changed/uprated to cope with this level of power? Sorry to sound like a dumbass but this isnt my area..... lol.

hmmmm... yeah im a bit worried about that. I do love my vr but i like the idea of having something 'savage' i just wish i had the budet to do it..... Maybe in a year or two i might consider an upgrade.... Plus if my mate is gonna get a vr then i wanna make sure mine is quicker!! (not that we're a competitive bunch) lol :) And Craggsy.. you know that we wouldnt consider anythin but gold paving down here... we dont cut corners like you 'northerners'

That is so true!!! i mechaniced for a supersport race team last year, workin on an R6 and we literally wouldnt get through a race weekend without gaffer tape & WD40.... the answer to any issue!!!

Ahhhh nooo... sorry to hear that mate!! Get yourself a quick 'session' with a physio, they can sort that out for ya nice and quick.... I suppose i can let you off for a lil while. ;) And i know he'd be up for a spin in yours and i DEF would if you dont mind?! Be interesting to feel the difference. :)
