  1. hi got my MOT tomorrow, just done VAGCOM and i know about the abs sensor and i am having both front sensors changed at the MOT, would do it myself but this is easier and quicker! is the other fault code something related to the ABS or something else? VAG-COM Version: Release 409.1-S Chassis Type: 1H - VW G/J/V Mk3 Scan: 01,02,03,08,15,25,56 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Address 01: Engine Controller: 021 906 256 Component: MOTRONIC M3.8.1 HS V02 Coding: 00000 Shop #: WSC 01317 4 Faults Found: 00668 - Supply Voltage Terminal 30
  2. have a look into it and see what you can do, i know a few peeps that would come down for sure
  3. could be the ideal spot for a meet at some point then, well if the weather sorts itself out!
  4. yeah would look wicked if you could get a load of Dragon Greens lined up outside there. First class photo! I'd be keen for it! well worth the journey for the result
  5. mmmm, may have to give it a go at some point then, 116k on the clock now and no chain change so could be done soon i reckon.
  6. DaVeR6 love the location for the pic. Perfection!
  7. true minter that, job well done. fancy doing my chains too?? lol. how much you reckon it cost doing the chains yourself?
  8. best colour the VR comes in! Dragon all the way
  9. that does sound pretty mint, i will look into that then. thanks
  10. RIght then getting to the point where some nice new tyres are needed for the VR, any one got any ideas of which are the best to go for for a set that are not too dear but still do the job. I'm in the West Midlands area and have used Event Tyres previoulsy, wheels are the standard BBS on the VR so 205/45/15 thanks,
  11. sorted,i'll give it a go ove the weekend then and let you know if it is all sorted. cheers
  12. like the style, got loads of big hammers so this could be fun! is it possible to download the software to remove the fault codes from VAG-COM, cause once i have done all this i will need to run it again to see if the faults have gone.
  13. right cleaned the sensorrs last night, still no difference, pretty sure now it is just the faulty sensor and the pump is ok, cant for the love of god get the sensor out though, removed the one fixing bolt and the sensor was seized in, any ideas on a simple way of getting this out? have a missed another fixing bolt maybe? if the pump is gone then i haver the MOT soon so will have them do the work for the pump and bleeding, had a look last night and the bleeding looks like a right ball ache, dont wanna risk getting any air bubbles in there! Will clean the MAF again tonight i think just to doub
  14. i'm gonna try and take the sensor out tonight then replace it, any idea on costs for new ones? i'm hoping that fixes the problem then without having to bleed them. we shall see though, knowing my luck i'll need to replace the whole brake system haha. Any ideas on how i would fix the other problems too, coolant sensor (where is that particular one located) and the MAF sensor, only cleaned that a little while ago. But it does feel like it struggles abit low end sometimes. thanks
  15. watch out for them wipers of the bay, i got some a while back, only lasted like 2 minths. Invest in a set of Bosch Flat Blades, best wipers by a long shot. Looks tidy though mate, love the VEnto front end!
  16. as for the brakes, i think i may have an air bubble in the lines or something, gonna try and bleed them over the weekend and see what happens. will clean the faulty sensor too.
  17. Right then, VAG-COM done, below are the faults, any ideas on how i can clear all these? didnt quite expect all of these to come out of it!! Address 01: Engine Controller: 021 906 256 Component: MOTRONIC M3.8.1 HS V02 Coding: 00000 Shop #: WSC 01317 3 Faults Found: 17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer P1570 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent 00522 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62) 27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent 00553 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) 31-10 - Open or Short to Ground - Intermittent Readiness: N/A --------------------
