I use mine as a daily driver and put up bout 300miles a week driving to work mostly..When it runs right it is a dream to drive..It puts a subtle smile on my face every day...But when it gives trouble..I feel like throwing myself off the roof ...Its always expensive to fix and always takes weeks to get done....My girlfriend has told me to sell it 3 times and my parents constantly wreck my head bout the cost of runnin it....I always tell them "its mine...its never for sale...my kids will drive it someday"..drives them nuts.....So far ive had to replace the clutch and gear box..Rebuilt the engi

I know the tow bar dont look great buddy but think about leavin it in..everybody i know told me to leave mine in even though it hasnt been used in 3 years...a few days ago a girl behind me started her car in gear and gave me a nice thump ..thankfully she hit my towbar and not my bumper or exhaust...saved me a headache i think....

Check the brown wire running through the door to body at the rubber housing...Mine broke due to the opening and closing of the drivers door I think..

...could be worse..U could have to drive a 99 Daewo Lanos 1.4 (thats absolutely f%*k'd) every day....and it belongs to your girlfriends father who already hates you and is waitin for the car to die so he can blame your driving...Like Jonny-boy says ...Think of the smiles it gives you when you have it......

Hey Ed..sorry to hear bout your VR6 problems.. I know how Heart breaking it can be first hand..Recently i had the exact same problem with mine..kept losing water and i couldn't figure it out..then the slight miss fire started....I got a newer expansion tank with a blue cap on it but before i got to fit it the head gasket went and engine over heated and seized up..(luckily not while driving)...Really considered a matchbox insurance job...But I just found out today that the engine is not completely fucked and my magic mechanic has it stripped it down an is a good way towards fixing every thing.

Unbelievably i have just got the same problem..(dont have keyless entry though).Im gona bring it to my mechanic in the morning and see what he says...mine sounds like the window motor could be gone..lots of clicking but no movement..Ill let you know how i get on...

Ok.so I changed the back tyres to front an i found a slow puncture on the changed front right...rang a mate and he ordered a set of Toyo T1Rs 205/45/16s for me..375 yoyos delivered from England to Ireland..one heart ache sorted..and another one arises..cant select 5th gear..

Mine started to rattle a little in first an when slowing down.....then the whine started...about a week later it went bang and the gears and part of the bell housing bust out on da road..NIGHTMARE ..took me 6 weeks to get a decent gearbox from England (to Ireland )an fitted..Get it looked at before its too late.

Hard to say buddy..what to do?....IMHO..the VR6 is worth stickin with..U dont pass many on the roads every day so that makes them unique enough..as for Evos..unless its a MR FQ300/340/400 with all the carbon goodies (big money) its pointless,..Evos are every where...more girls driving around in Evos and Skylines in my county than lads...R32 transplant sounds sweet though..that might surprise a few rice burning faces ...hahah

snap buddy..Ive been lookin for a twin exit back box for ages and also rang around a few miltek stockists and they wont sell the box separate..still stuck with my single oval which performs well but isnt as cosmetically pleasing as i want...what to do???

dont watch da revs..listen to da engine..it will tell u when to change..ull know when..my rev counter has a fault or a loose connection...reads when it wants to..and never when da air conditioning is on....the sound and power will guide you my friend..hahah

I know this sounds stupid but have a real good look at your rad..my VR6 was losing water and i couldnt find a leak anywhere....After days of looking I found a small stone dent in the rad up behind a bumper plastic..(how a stone buried itself in there i dont know)....I only found it by spotting a drop or 2 of coolant in a dry under ground car park after da cinema one nite recently...

They look good..is there a slot to slip the tax disc in..or are they a 1 time application?... is it black background only..or can they be got with colored background..IE charcoal gray with same logo?
