Speaking as a cat owner not by choice my wife's ! a good dose of ice cold water gets the bleeders .... so does a hose pipe and spray nossle... if that fails i sprinkle white pepper around the borders makes the bleerders sneeze .... BTW anyone seen trainspotting the dog in the park and BB Gun ????? By way of interest cats for some reason love the smell of bleach so in no way wash any car parts or anything else you want cat free in it it's like cat nip to them ... Just be on the safe side replace the PS pump & servo if it stil whines after that it's the steering assembley... -

I always carry emergency PSF Halfords stuff is ok and cheapest... -

All is not lost !!! DON'T panic just yet... The conecting pipe from the resevoir to the steering pump is located way down low lower left corner of the front bumper... what happens is the "O" ring round the metal "L" pipe corrodes which means when you hit a bump or lumpor simply from the pressure in the system it can shoot off ... This metal "L" pipe goes into the bottom of the power steering pipe.. it, it;s self is jubelie clipped to a rubber piece of hose that then goes into the long rail this is located under the front Radiator... My suggestion wgich i have done many a time is take of the " -
It's stopped now wife was on it like a rat up a drain pipe... 4 times at checkout it then wiped the basket out i think they cottoned on !! DAM ....

Did my own rooflining few years back ... high for a week using time bond to get the faux leather on the roof. I shaved the handle recesses off as trying to get the material into the contours was beyond me ,,,,others have done theirs much better than i did ...

Not knocking them at all... i must say though some great driving roads to reach them so if ever you want a blast to get parts ... it prob is quicker !!

They do opperate out of a small industrial unit i once had to drive there to collect new headlights.. it's only a 3 man operation not even a proper sales room or shop there's always prodcuts boxed up it's more like a mini warehouse they prob can't get stuff from germany as lots parts of theirs come from there... communication never seams their strong point but hang in there with them !!!

As soon as i can i will get some Aluminium sheet ... i plan to double wall the side and base on the outter section use some kingspan wall insulation foam block then the 2nd wall pocket houses the dry ice the cold surface of the metal cools the air flowing into the filter ...

Personally wait for the windows phones around xmas time or try the Nokia;s the N8 or the X7 or even the Nokia 700 due out next week... Iphones are sexy and very tactile but thats it other phones are better faster and more reliable ...

I have a plan then ... you can buy slices of dry ice if i fab up a box with hollow sides and drop the ice between thesen the air is drawn through the box opening and chilled by the sides of the bo then on to the RAM air filter...

Slightly off topic but not much ... i raely see VR go pop compared to their Jap counterparts when charged is this because the VR block and bottom end is diesel based ???

Good Vids Russ ... I do think shedding some weight on the old Mk3 helps.. hence mine has lost lots.. did you know the standard seat rails weight a ton too .. only noticed when fabricating my bucket seat mounts these last 2 weeks... loose the sound dedening under the carpets... if fact ditch the carpet lol,,, and if you ditch the sunroof mechanism that's more too boot as well as the rear windscreen motor... 50kg at least gone.

Idea was to fab up a troff that the RAM air filter sits in that is insulated with kingsspan wall insulation and the dry ice sits in a slab under the filter ... It was a simplified idea that wouldn't require me to get the aqua mist type thing going ,,, ghetto performance lol...
