  1. I'd have thought a custom one would take up less space as some of the log ones take up so much space, I could be wrong though.
  2. A mate of mine spoke to a garage that specialise in custom exhaust, manifold and piping and they gave him a really good price for a custom manifold and downpipe for his 1.8t and it got me thinking . . . . . . Would it be worthwhile running a tubular manifold instead of the usual log type manifolds seen on more vr6 turbos? Any info on this would be great, Ken.
  3. Is there anywhere else that you can get straight cut gears for a VR or R32 box? Apart from SQS obviously.
  4. About the whole VRT's distroying 3rd gears, what is it about 3rd thats particularly weak? Also what can be done to strengthen the box? Would it be possible to uphrade the internals to stronger or possible straight cut cogs? Ken
  5. Cheers Maiden I did know C2 even had a UK base but I'll drop them an email the now asking about it. Ken
  6. Thats SQS box looks like a serious peice of kit, how much would that set you back? The C2 software everybody seems to be talking about is it completely custom? As once I have my set up put together I'll have to spend a fortune getting it mapped as its not any particular kit, so sending my ECU to C2 would be an option. Can you guys gimme a bit more info on what thry can do? Ken
  7. Yeh whats that all about with the rears? How'd you solve that, something as sympol as bashing the grease cap? lol
  8. Awrite Just got a set of TT comps pretty cheap and fitted some nice proxes and wondering will I need new wheelnuts to fit them, or will the standard VR ones be fine? Thanks Kenny

    Major Wiper Issues

Is it a pretty simple thing to change or am I best taking it into my local Dub Dealer?
  10. Awrite I'm having some wiper troubles, mainly driving me insane! For a couple of weeks now they have been a bit"iffy" and when I got over bump the front washers would come on, now unfortunately they are permenantly on. I disconnected the pump so it didnt burn out once I'd ran out of water, thankfully it has been raining in Glasgow today so I've needed them on anyway. Does anybody know what could be the problem? Something with the wiper stalk itself or what I've no idea. Sorry for the long post. Thanks, Ken
  11. I'm gonna have a look at the plugs later on today, if they look a bit iffy I'll replace them later in the week, got serviced in July so in theory they shouldnt need done.
  12. Awrite Just been out for a drive and it only seems to be smoking at low revs, between 1 and 2k generally. Also it seems to have developed a slight stutter/missfire at just about 1k, could the two be related? Kenny
  13. I think I'd rather get the whole lot done properly, Has anybody had this done recently and could give me a price for it?
  14. Thanks guys, I actually had my suspicions about it being the valve stem oil seals. Is it gonna be a big job getting them replaced? Kenny
  15. Awrite I've just bought a '97 Highline a couple of days ago, and noticed a little blue smoke coming from the exhaust when coming off the throttle (mate driving behind confirmed blue smoke). I'm new to the VR6 game so dunno much about the engine so do you guys have any ideas on what it could be? Car has done 104k. Kenny
