    yeah well need one for german and after my mates vsr almost went up in flames after the oil return line come off i thought it be a good idea lol

    i had a simlar fault the interior lights and daah and the interior fuse was blown ... but started ok thou .... sounds like it could be ur alarm and/or immobiliser mate

    could be a dodgy conection some where mate check all the plugs and fuse if u can and go from there

    had another little play today replaced some vac hoses, foudn out wot was causing my ASB light to come on .. doddy wiring have to sort that at the weekend or during the week ... fitted my fire extinguisher

    when i had mine chipped the VW chip was soldered in so they had to de solder and then fitt the new chip as for thay think its pretty simple so you should be ok dave lol

    yippie all done new idler bearing, belt, lamber sensor and isv pipe and black vac box and is now running like a dream just got adajust the belt again when hot and game on

    all ull need to do is use the block and head from the rado lump you will be able to bolt on all the other bits from ur buggered engine ... thats wot i dont with mine and yes that cams will fiit in the 2.9
