    big hammer and a steel rod or alike ...... but mind your fingers .... if it looks rusty in there then give a spray with a WD40 or alike ....

    yeah thats it mate the torx bolt in the door shut then you can remove the door lock and handle ....

    does the drivers door lock do anything when you operate it ???? ie lock any doors at all ??? if not remove the outer door handle lock and see if the rod from the key lock to the door lock is broken ..... thats quite a common fault .....

    depends what is causing the tapping noise, if its `noisy` tappets then yeah should sort it, if its not the tappets then no .... try running an oil cleaner through it and changing the oil first that might do it

    check fuse 14 - 10amp, that feeds the central locking, heated seats, reverse lights ....

    has it got a restrictor in the feed line ???? thats what caused my turbo seal to go no restrictor !!!!

    can do mate or get them from ECP as they normally use VW bits just grind the numbers off ....

    should be easy enough to find them id go to Wossner for the rings so they match the pistons, as for bearings can get race speck ones or the correct sized ones from VW

    the bore size should be 83mm mate that as close to 3.0 as you can get 2994 CC i think ??!!

    clean the oil off, leave headlight out, top the oil up and run it see if you can see where it is coming from dude then you will know if its the seal, oil feed or return etc etc
