  1. well unless you are tracking the car solid vented disks are the way forwards. I have Brembo 288mm on mine and they work very well. Pads.... again unless you are tracking the car then I would suggest nothing more than fast road. I have Padgid on the front and Green stuff on the rear. I find the mix can be felt and works well. VR6 rears tend to be light in to corners at speed and I find the green stuff does grip as immediately as the pagid...thus making it feel a little more gradual/controlable when needed to avoid the others on the road...... All available with discount when a premium mem
  2. Right this may be a little controversial.. and is not directed at anyone... We (the UK) are sitting here moaning about the snow and how crap the government and councils are... Well I have some thoughts on this and really feel we should take some responsability... The government etc... Right we want snow blowers/salt/all roads open... Is it me or does no one actually realise we can have those things - we just have to pay more in taxes and charges... But who wants to pay more??? Which leads me on to the key area... the peasents out there...yup - you and I.. It tends to snow every year - almos

  5. Shame there were not a couple of obvious ones added to the test. But 2 cars did impress me here... ps ignore the Geman... press mute...
  6. right just for clarity fog lights on the front and rear are two different things.. The ones on the front are more like driving lamps. where the low level (height) light emissions are a benefit in adverse conditions as well as being able to be seen seen. They should be used as needed and don't be a "Trev" about using them... The rear ones I have issue with... They should be used if you cannot be seen 100m away as you said.... If, for example, you are on a motorway and it rains then they are not needed and act as a focus point which inhibits driving and also overpowers brake lights... Even

  10. Well most of the information is covered above.. May I suggest you become a premium member as it opens up other discussions for you.. (and discounts ) http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?155255 If my memory is all on song then you can go up to about 9psi without the need to upgrade internals and deal with the compression ratio. If you look at the VF product. Stage2 (8psi) is a bolt on affair. it is not until you hit 10psi that you add the items you spoke of in your thread as part of kits. So look at how far you want to go. The gearbox is fine at these sorts of powe

  12. I sometimes question their skill levels as they spend their waking life trying to hit a goal and then miss by a mile... However there is the odd one we know has a real skill.. The chap at the end is on my list of operates on a different plane to us mortals... but look at the people before... Ohhh the shame.. You know they are going to go home and practice... 14. a much missed one... Pollen Filter.. under windscreen slam panel on passanger side..
  15. I have Brembo discs all around with Padgid fast road pads.... If you go more than fast road you tend to need to keep heat in them for them to work correctly. However things like Yellow stuff dont fade... Also make sure you fit the 288 mm options rather than the 280mm optons.. Finally if you are runnning bigger wheels then audo tt set ups bolt stragith on -ish and work loads better again... there is a how to/discussion thread somewhere PS... If you jpoin as a premium member you get 15% off at GSF amongst others... best £15 you will ever spend... If you trust me on only one thing in your li

  17. It could be but also check the hub is still attached... With the wheel still on jack up and see if it wabbles/moves etc/ (all directions) Listen to the wheel as it turns (rotates) does it rub at a specific point?? Swap the wheel and see if it still happens.. Whilst you have the wheel of wiggle and pull on everything.. Anything that coems to the wheel/driveshafts/susspension/brakes... These simple steps should help you follow through to something.. Hope ot helps..
