    just wondered as ive now got the 6 branch and decat on , with just the axle (suitcase) box and performance rear box left. thought some peeps might like to hear it, to judge wether or not to go down the same route!! i personally like it now, not to loud not to soft, and it's got a bark when it comes alive. only other mod is ramair small planet filter

    well, got the car back!!!! wow , it looks nice, ans thats about it. the manifold itself needs to be refaced as its not flat ??? meaning i have a slight blow at all times. i would have expected better than this from a obx jobbie. has anyone else had this problem?? anyway another 60quid to have it refaced and that should do it. decat looks good and even with the blow it sounds gorgueos (spelling) and had more torque (you can tell) dubbloke can you shed any light on this, if i rember coreectly, you brought this from someone else , yes? not blamming you just wondered if it was new when they had it

    ah yes the cat, im hollowng the orig one out, so we'll see if its clean enough on the emission to pass without it. it'll look like my cat, but will be hollow inside i also thought about the heatwrap, on me turbo cars ive had , i would have done it wihout fail, but on the vr, as im not going at the mp for mega power, ive decided to leave as is. i do remember that the one on my mk2 16v golf was tinny, so i assume i can expect some of this?

    cant wrap the manifold gary, havnt got no wrap for it. itll have to be done at a later date.will tell them to decat it. ill report back whn its done/

    as above really, having the 6 branch fitted first thing wednesday, and wondered if its woth decating it on my obd2 vr6. it will have ramair, 6 branch and a already present, stainless exhaust. honest answers with ome facts or rr graphs would be good, by end of tonigh even better

    also noticed my mpg gone up from normal of 18.9 ish to 23.6 ??? wtf. anyway its gone and i now have a massive cold air feed pipe from the front lower right bumper grill to the ramair small planet filter.

    just removed mne to fit my cold air feed. buggered up the bottom bumper plastic thing tring to remoce it. canister came out fine. much more room

    thx for the info guys, ive had a reply back already..he says for 150 dollars inc postage back he will remap my ecu to run on uk fuel, the site shows gains of 20ft torque and bhp up from 174 to 191. not bad gains if they are true. ill shall ask the question about ign adv etc, and see what he says. the company is inmotionusa.com take at look at the european pages and tell me what u think. im assuming these are a generic map. even so , will work out cheaper than a chip from the likes or superchips , does stealth perform a live map??? im not intrested in bhp btw, its the torque i want . i also as

    YEAH, i suppose to the right person they would be worth more, but tbh im not doing it to make money as i intend to keep them, although i can see where youre coming from. i imagine a nice profit could be made from buying old wheels, and polishing them, selling them on etc. ironically i cant even sell a l reg gti, with fsh, and 12 months mot. its all about finding the right person at the right time IMHO

    i paid 60 for mine, with poor tyres, and with the wheels in a good condition, you may get more if you advertise in the right place

    ive only got the back box and the suitcase box over the axle, sounds just right for me, i no the suitacse box stops the droning at motorway type speeds. it may be differeny however with a full after market system and supposed to a bitsa system that i have.

    these are usually copies of known make chips.. had on on my 200sx and it was ok, overfuelled a bit , but much better than some of the so called custom mapped chips.. for 25 quid maybe buy one, plop it in and do a rr power run. that way u can asses the power/torque and fuelling content. might be a winner vr6virgin, the chips for obd1 only, i havent been able to find any generic type obd2 chips as yet. jim
