    right. Under your rear bench is where the sensors plug into the loom....swap them left to right, clear codes, get it to fault, check again if it still says the same side, as before then its ecu...if the fault follows, ie swaps side ...left sensor is dead. If so there are 2 types (where it plugs into the loom) square or round. Prob square as looking at your vagcom you got the later abs 96/97?

    Good ol classifieds £30. You need the EXACT same part number as there are 3 types. Vagcom it first you might be ok for just a few sensors

    Spray some water on it too and see if theres any arcing or if the car runs worse

    The rear faults usually point to ecu and you can do it withou takin the pump off....exactly what i did recently. The front may need a sensor or 2. Clear them then see what happens. Clear them a few times and see which ones stay!

    you cant clear from auto scan go into the single one do brakes then you can clear....lets us know if any stay on. if not as soon as it faults again run it and post your results

    Yup deffo maplins....got some to do mine. Wasnt havin a pop at anyone directly there! sorry if it came across like that. But when you switch iff your car the maf heats a wire to over 1000 deg'c, which is thinner than a human hair, to burn off all the s**t! Carb cleaner could screw it completley

    Why do people advise on here to clean mafs with carb cleaber....this can make it worse. Use ispropyl alcohol only as it leaves no residue

    sweet well lived in Enfield til i was 22......only down the road mate. As i said people get probs with vagcom on vista so download the free version see if you can get it to run!

    195 on the front 205 on the back....will slightly catch on full lock but only on the splashguards and will rub on the back if your really low!

    What do you mean drinks fuel...you talking about the mfa....if so it wont give you an mpg read out if you not doing any miles per gallon lol. If your obd2 it wont cut out plugged in or out as it gets the idle signal from the throttle body! What did you clean it with as carb cleaner leaves a residue which wont of helped the situation at all! Best to try and borrow one for testing then buy new....isopropyl alcohol to clean it...get it at maplins or ebay.
