    Thanks all for the comments. A local powder coaters here have quoted me £40+vat per wheel, to blast them then powder coat them in a white similar to candy white, now £200 isn't bad, but they will not be made good, i.e. slight kerbing wont be sorted, and they will not be VW candy white, so i suppose i'll get a quote tomorrow from my mate at the bodyshop and decide from there. The 9's on the back at the moment are a different shade of white to the car and the fronts and it is noticable, well i'm not happy with it .

    My car is currently in a professional bodyshop, i had the idea that maybe tomorrow i'll nip in and mention maybe painting my wheels, (my mate owns the bodyshop). Now i know that it seems powder coating is tough, but for many reasons it is attractive for me to get them painted, also it means i could get the slight kerbing removed by them easily, 2pack is tough paint isnt it?. If i get them painted there the colour will be completely spot on, and so on, so can anyone tell me if this is a bad idea, and that i really should get them powder coated, which appears to be very expensive, especially as

    Good shout is to nip it up softly may work, but iirc the big plastic bolt is only done up sorta hand tight on installation?

    Check the cooler mate, maybe clean it then check again . If it is the cooler which is common, I did a little guide on here including tools and part numbers of the 2 big o ring type rubber seals, I'll find it out tonight if I get a chance. Is the cooler dripping with oil?
