  1. Yes mate it was at stealth. Its been a very sick car lately. Hopefully all sorted now though.
  2. It has an eyebrow spoiler on? and I thought the vento front looks much more aggresive than the golf front but thats just my opinion. Just sold the old rear lights as too many people have them and I wanted something more subtle and "euro" looking.
  3. Finally got round to getting a set of coilovers. Finding every speed bump a real struggle now. Comments welcomed. Even if you just want to say you preffered it onn the TT rims
  4. Cheers mate. Very kind. I will give you a shout if I get one
  5. Cheers for the help lads. I wish I knew the first thing about fitting a boost gauge :S . Do you always get squeeling with belt slippage because mine doesn't squeel? I will check the connection beween the plastic pipe and the TB but I imagine that would affect all of the gears if it was loose and not just 2nd? Not been in any other charged VR before so maybe it is just normal but I would have expected 280bhp to feel alot quicker :-( . Maybe I was just expecting too much
  6. Mine was stalling on idle after having a charger fitted. It just needed the throttle body cleaning. Doesn't stall any more.
  7. Not sure, I have the one that came with the charger. Didn't count the ribs. Acceleration in 2nd just seems to be incosistent.
  8. That rules that out then, no squeeling. It was mapped at Stealth so I would hope that it was all done properly. Never been in another charged VR so not 100% sure how it should feel. Is it likely to be an issue with the mapping?
  9. Had the charger fitted for about a month now (Vortech V9 F Stage 2) but only had it mapped last week. It Feels like the power sometimes comes in spurts in 2nd gear and sometimes 3rd. Could this be due to the belt slipping? and if so, is it just a matter of upping the tension on it or is there a better belt available? Any help is much appreciated. Cheers!
  10. Thats better, a few responces! looks like most people prefer the TT comps though. Oh well. I liked them too but so many people have them on mk3s now and I felt like a bit of a change. Not too original I know but I really like D90s and fancied something a bit more subtle and "euro" looking. I will post some more pics up when I have the coilovers fitted and maybe a few of you will come round to my way of thinking .......or maybe not. I prefer it though and I suppose that's the most important thing.
  11. Great responce there! Looks like evryone really likes it! :-( Did anyone prefer the old wheels and lights then?
  12. Some new pics. Coilovers are sitting on the table waiting to go on. I will post up some more pics when the suspension is sorted. Now supercharged as well! 279.6 bhp. Sorry about the quality of the pics, I only have the camera on my phone at the minute. What do you all reckon?
  13. Guess that answers that question then Cheers all. Are they easy to fit?
  14. Thinking of buying a Raceland one for my 97 Golf VR6. Any one on here fitted one? any good or bad comments? Cheers!
  15. scrap that. seems to be working now
  16. Anyone having trouble getting onto the site? I have not been able to since last night?
  17. What exhaust do you have mate? Looks like a good fit. My one sits far too low and it is staring to get on my nerves
  18. are you talking about the 4 individual ones on Ebay or another set of 4?
  19. I used my old bolts and just fitted some cromed bolt covers from ebay to tidy the look up a bit. I think they were about £20 ish
  20. Not polished as I think he is talking about. They are lacqured or however you spell it. Not the same finish as mirror polished. They will only be powder coated or diamond cut if they have been refurbed and don't look any way near as nice as the original finish or a mirror polish. It can be hard to find an original set in good condition that don't require any work so I would be more than happy to part with £300+ for a set with little or no damage and a fair bit more for a newly polished set, say around £450ish without tyres
  21. Would have to disagree mate. £300 would be a fair price for a non-polished set. If you can find a polished set for less than £250 let me know and I will buy them. It would cost around £200 to get a set polished properly. I have had 4 different sets of them now.
  22. 205/40/17 tyres mate. Anyone know if 35 profile ones cost much more? and if they make the ride too harsh? Must get the car lower. Coilovers are next on the list and some more arch work i expect. need it so sit like this... Thanks for all the comments by the way
  23. Never posted any pics of mine on here before so I thought it was about time. What y'all think?
