    been thinking about removing my plastic trims has anybody done this on an early vr mines an m-plate so this sore of year just woundered what the paint was like under the trim before i do mine and if it cleaned up well and didnt leave any marks.

    just buy a whole new unit with new seals etc...there so cheap and you might as well do the thermostat while you have it off.

    ye think i will do that coz i want to smooth it and also smooth the number plate bit and were the lights go on the front bumper just did the rear just waiting to get painted but ye i want a bumper thats already colour coded as this would be easy to paint after and cheaper.lol

    i know the standard vr6 the 1 with the black bit at the top of the bumper that black bit of trim can be removed can the later vr6 with the colour coded top can this also be removed or are they fixed. !lol

    must agree the rs does look quiet nice but fords are CRAPY rust buckets always havin been and always prob will be thats why they made the KA with those big plastic bumpers/wheels archs so the wheel archs wount rust.lol

    see a set of the mk4 turbo wheels the 5spoke with the split between the spokes on a mk3 the other day didnt look to bad imo.

    the r32 wheels look way to big foe the car imo.but the rc or comps look pukka.

    ok figgered it out i used fiberglass and mesh to fill the number plate cut out and going to do some more 2moz. sorry got a bumper already smoothed but had a number plate recess cut out.

    ye sorry you can sqezze them together but its vey hard an you can just about do it maybe the car wasnt that hot but hay must check that for oil leak as i do get a small bit of oil on me sump after a while thought it was my sump gasket but ill check that any ways any body else no why my water is doing the above thanks.

    you alway will get a bad one what ever you buy. and ye i did my water oump about 2000k ago went to vw to get think it was 56quid didnt have it in stock so i said ok how long to get it thinking next day 5day order done a local stock search no had one so had to go gsf car parts got it there think i oayed 30quid for it 2000k later seems ok touch wood.lol

    were are the oil coolers on the vr then how can you tell if it had it. i had my headgasget done bout 2000 miles ago along with my water pump thermostat and expan tank cap my water hose are not rock hard you can just sqezze them together but im getting a dribble of coolant from the hole in the side of the expansion tank think its the bottom 1 out of the 2 as there are 2 small hole there any ideas kilokilla asked you bout this the other week. jus checked my hoses after a drive.
