Lol yeah it was jacked up and was sittin on the axel stands taken it of now bu the front coils are low so the jack is stuck gota get it out....gonna start welding it tomo lukin to streghten the bulk head and may be fabricate a custom cross member and triangulate it of the bulk head...if you guys have any other ideas as to how i couls and rigidity onto the bulk head please feel free to tell me thanks in advancew for your help guys

just a quick update on what iv been up between uni and work just dnt ask involved a lot of swearing at the ammount of sealer on ther but also praises for vw as ther was no corrosion went to a certain place tjhey wanted 200 quid for pre cut plates to weld ontothe legs...so i decided to make them my self not got round to weldin them in as still need to make sue the sit rite wot u guys reckon????? i nearly cried when i found and old pic of the car (first month after ownin it pic) got a mamoth task of welding and smoothing now...not to forget addin sum structural strength to the bulk head

lets hope it will be ok my body shope guys has done quite a few smooth bodykits and blended them in with the body and cov roads are crap u can loose a car in some of the pot holes lol no cracks i was impressed....any one good with brakes and brake setups

there s a metal plate rivited to the back and i havent used much glass either max thicknes is probably 5- 6 mm if that iv droped it somany times iv lost count while moving it about the garage lol no cracks....im confident it wont sink iv used screws and hole so that the glass-f has sumin to hold onto fingers crossed u neva knw with these things tho do u lol managed to get the ABS pump of the car and started gettin rid of the wires man that pum weighs a bit...glad im scrapinthe ABS now was shite any way

A four motion one is in two parts and the rallye/mk3 one is in three parts so i doubt it (this is what i knw of the top of my head) getting it of can be a bit of a pain...i took mine of to get the cv's replaced front and middle part come of ok but the rear one i needed a ramp to remove without having to drope the roll bar. you can just undo the front cv joint on the prop and take that part out

just a quick update managed to fiber glas and shape the smooth look on the front bumper but dnt get any photos yet....but also took the engine out and stripped the charger of it as i dnt wana leave it lying around in COV gonna sleep with it under my pillow. Matey needs to quit snifin the thinners at at the paint desk (the reason for the blurry pics hahahaha) ^^^^the les blury pic gota start taking of the ABS and redoing the new pipework and start strip the loom to bare minimum fingers crossed

finally got the metal plate made up to cover the massive void and give a solid base for the fiberglass to hold onto....was gonna just drill holes for the glass to grip but thought it would be betta to use selftappers to provide a bit more support for it to grip to. shall have the indicator holes covered up tomo ne one knw where i can source new carpets?

im gonna got for best of both worlds....luxury in a super car type of way...keepin my recaros and dash etc....gona get rid of the bench tho....but get it trimmed if its ever needed.........lets see what happens...not gonna weigh it down wiv stereo shite prob just upgrade standards for components

done a little bit more today managed to get some bits of the engine before dropping it out easier to take off when the engine is held tite sorry for the hazey pics put dirt finger made a start on the bumper managed to cut out the bits not wanted on the bumper tomorrow i shall have the metal plates rivited on before fiberglassin it and smoothing it off close up

oh i love the ride...the colour sets it of nicley....av you seen bally rado on e38....he had it pepainted wiv a lil sumin special over the mystic blue luks nice too.....you both got identical cars except u have the power to go wiv the looks top job
