  1. Right, all sorted (for now). Took the speed sensor connector off, problem still present. Took clocks out, tried another set, fine Plugged my clocks back in, lost all cluster fuctions. Took earth strap off battery, reconnected, all is well again with the world happy days
  2. right heres the vid. As described, when it shoots round past 160mph i'm applying over 2% throttle, when it shoots back to 0mph i'm off throttle decelerating, and when it wiggling all over thew place i'm apply less then 2% throttle
  3. It's very weird to say the least. I'm trying to upload a vid to show you guys. Speed sensor sounds the most logical reason, but then it's behaviour doesn't act to that logic. Doing a constant speed, if I accelerate the needle shoots round past 160mph, if i decelerate foot off throttle the needle shoots round to 0mph, and if i apply very very very slight throttle the needle flicks around like a crazed mofo. I'll upload vid asap
  4. Hi Guys, need some help My speedo needle has all of a sudden started acting crazy. No rhyhm or reason, just happened with nothing to tell me why. when ignition is on the needle just spasms, it flicks round doing 360's, then holds pointing down after going past 160mph (on the clock, not my speed). Then back to 0, and repeat. And after a run, with the ignition off andd key out it will swing round past 160mph, and hold pointing down. It's just plain wierd. Anyone experienced this? Any pointers towards the cause would be greatly appreciated Cheers guys As
  5. great job on the setup, hats off. How do you find the power delivery from the rotrex? is it smooth like the vortech, or does the power kick in alot later?
  6. i'm unfortunately not gonna be able to make this one either. Got a stag do in Barcalona the weekened before and can't get 2 weekends in a row of due to family commitments. So my hunger to get some ring action will have to wait till next year
  7. same prob on mine, only have the crappy scissor jack, bent my sill the other day doing my wheel change
  8. We weren't so lucky... Martin and Sal are stuck at the start of the M4 as Mart's serpentine belt / tensioner has seized so it's overheating. And CowpatMatt and his brother went there own way' date=' because we where all too slow, and on a detour through Holland got caught doing 130Mph. Car got impounded and they are still there waiting to go to court tomorrow afternoon. Looking at a 1000E fine at least!!! [/quote'] 130 mph in Holland, expensive lesson there.
  9. That's the way i see it, but i'm no expert. The spring needs a fair bit of vacuum to pull the spring up (dependant on spring rating), so unless you're hoovering around the magic vacuum figure to pull your spring then it should clamp closed under any lesser vacuum/boost conditions
  10. under throttle the valve is closed by the spring, so when you come from off throttle/vacuum to on throttle/boost the valve should close instantly minimising boost leak thru the valve. Which way round have you installed your valve? bottom port to downstream charger side and side port to upstream charger side (if you get what i'm saying?)??
  11. Igham> did you stay in the ringhaus? Sh!t that snow looks awful....
  12. are there no tickets for the crossing left? Pete> edit 1st post to adjust meeting time to about 10am

  16. I've seen most with gaps, but the set i got of ebay years ago fits sweetly
  17. I've got oil, fuel, and boost prerssure, and an AFR gauge (which doesn't work too well - Dam LC-1 wideband )
