Grooved discs & some uprated pads will help aswell otherwise you'll have no brakes after about 4 bends! Go for just grooved as the the drilled and grooved discs warp quickly - I've got standard discs fitted at the mo but with green stuff pads and braided hoses and my brakes didnt fade at all at the ring so I've left the standard discs on for my trip there in 2 weeks time :0)

My cars got Eibach ARB's and has been fully poly bushed, transforms the handling I'd definately recomend it if your doing some track days - my car used to move all over the place under hard braking but since the poly bushes have been fitted it stays in a straight line :0)

Ha I've got it on my car but its never been setup - keep forgetting to get it done, should get some good 1/4 mile times with it running

Do VR's have clutch ratchets? Sounds like what that is to me

You can fit a raceloogic launch/traction control system or similar - u wont get any wheel spin then :0)

When i see some one coming down the inside of me I close the gap to the car in front so they cant pull in front of - childish I know, they can cut in front of anyone else but me :0)

BMC's arent the be all and end all thats all im saying - the great 'which air filter is best' debate has been covered before some on here -
Best off asking the manufacturer direct mate - I doubt very much that you can buy just the glass but it'd be handy of you could!

Sounds like their talking rubbish mate! I know for some trackdays your car has to be 95Db or less etc but to say your has to be as quiet as it was when it left the factory is a load of crap!

Extra doors on a 5-door are gonna weigh a tonne, 2 more sets of locks, 2 more sets of electric windows etc etc

Im just lucky that mine had air-con and leather - I dont think I even knew what a Highline was when I was buying a VR6! Plus with Highlines your limited to two colours, its all about the Mustic Blue ;0)

I bought the 1st VR I looked at - had no S/H or anything but I fell in love with the noise, I was lucky though I think as I havent had any probs in almost 2 years touch wood. I dont see what all the fuss with people wanting a Highline & nothing else tho really - I know it was the top model etc but theres not that much difference to be honest, I prefer my non-highline Golf.

Could look Ok with other mods to suit it but I dont think the jappy style bumpers really suit the Golf or any car that isnt Jap, I know thats not a jap bumper but thats the 1st impression I got but its not my car so if you like it thats all that matters. -
We could test it in different cars at the ring and then sit down to compare each others data in the evening... Or maybe we could just get lashed and make a big fire? Tough call.
