    Just had my milltek system fitted and back box doesnt sit level, its on a slight angle. The rubber mounts have persihed and are weak. I've heard powerflex mounts are good but some say they melt. Also somrting about the S3 exhaust mounts? Anyone know anything about these?

    Thats exactly the comparison i was going to use but didnt just in case people thought i was being stupid. It does sound exactly like an M3. A sort of a tinny broken sound. Sorted. Thanks mate.

    Guys, Just got my Milltek system fitted along witha decat pipe. My question is: Does the decat make of a more metallic type noise when accelerating? Sound is great. A lot more audible than without the cat but you can hear the engine a lot more if you know what i mean? This normal?

    Guys, Got my FK Coilovers fitted yesterday @ VW. Massive improvement from standard. Tey left the damping settings alone and just done the height. What i wanted to know is what damping setting are they set to out of the box? Anyone know? Bit bouncy on the motorway so want to tighten things up a bit? I'm assuming to do the rears you have to take wheels off or can it be done via the top mounts like on the front? Cheers guys.

    Guys, Been contemplating fitting my coilvers myself but have been rining round getting some quotes. Just been quoted £250 for fitting + Wheel Alignment @ VW Dealership. Is that a good price?

    I think that maybe be the case mate to be honest. They are getting sharper. I know they'll never be Brembo performance but I hope they improve.

    Guys, I know the brakes on the VR are not too clever as standard but how bad are they supposed to be? Just had new discs and pads all round: EBCs on the front and run them in about 300 miles. Pedal is spongy as hell and really doesnt inspire confidence. Brake fluid was changed 6 months ago according to the service book I had with the car. Its a 1997 VR and only done 54k. I've been contemplating a budget 4 pot upgrade for the last 2 weeks. Anything has got to be better thatn what i've got now. Any suggestions on what could be the prob? or is that just the way it is?

    Got a question about the roof lining guys. The lining at the front of the car has come away at the top of the windscreen and the card/foam under it has come away also. Is there anything specific i can use to stick it all back up there. Cant use normal glue as it will come through the lining an stain. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Guys, Can you fit seats from a 3dr VR in a 5dr VR? I know obviously the rear door cards are a no go but I'm assuming the front and rear seats will be fine? Apart from the 3dr seats will have a handle to fold them over on the front. Cheers guys.

    Cant be that then. Filter was just changed along with the oil by VW last week. Might be coming from the oil cooler?

    Hi Guys. Got an ever so slight leak coming form around the oil filter. Only really appears when engine is warm. Can anything be done about that? Is there some sort of seal that can be replaced? Thanks.

    Turns out it was the track rod ends had gone. All sorted now.

    Hi Guys. What are the symptoms of a dodgy steering rack? Reason I ask is that i've booked the VR in to be inspected on weekend but just thought i'd try and find out myself whats wrong. Basically the car steers fine but there is a creaking/rubbing type sound coming from the steering. cant quite figure out if its behind the wheel or down by the pedals. Guy in VW while i was booking it in said it could be the Slip Ring? Any comments on this? Cheers guys.

    Ah right. Did have a look there but couldnt spot it. I'll go the rad hose route instead i think. Those clips are a pain to get off/on though! All fun i suupose. Cheers mate.

    Hi guys. I've got a 1995 OBD1 VR and cant find the Coolant system drain plug? I've contemplated taking the bottom rad hose off but would rather use the drain plug. Does anyone know where it is? Cant find it at all!

    I wont say anything because i'm trying my hardest to find a late black Vr with low miles so I hope it will be up for a reasonable price. Had a 40 minute conversation with a guy yesterday who got given a real gem of a Highline with 65k on the clock by his cousin because he was movin away. Guy knows nothing about VRs at all and has slammed it right up to £5200!! Wont take any less!! I'll never get one at this rate.

    Just a quick question guys. Can you fit MK3 side skirts off the GTi and other VRs on the Highline?

    MR BEN, is that a highline in the picture? Have you fitted GTI/VR6 skirts to it? Reason i ask is that it looks very effective.

    Looks good. Thank for that mate. I like the black look on non black cars. Havent seen many Mulberry cars with this conversion on so its hard to judge. Your will look good with smoked fogs etc.

    Hi Guys. I need some opinions on Headlight options if you can. I got a Mulberry highline and have been contemplating doing the Hella twinheadlight conversion and leaving it black, and then get smoked fogs and indicators? Some have said it may look good and others have said it'll look awfull. Can any of you guys suggest anything? Thanks.

    Thanks mate. I did get a bit worried when MK3ANNI mentioned head gaskets! Only just got the car. Realy nice Mulberry Highline with superb bodywork and 90K on the clock. I'll keep an eye on it. Should it make a bubbling sound though?
