  1. I dont have a bonnet stay and I've never seen the tool anyway, so it can't have been on there at all. I bet German & Sweedish do one. I'm surprised its not missing like a bitch as i've only pushed them on!! Sanky, thanks for the offer dude, I'm gonna try and get my hands on one.
  2. Does anyone know if there is a tool to put your leads in properly? I know there is one to put in your plugs but its a chuffin nightmare even getting the leads on properly as I found out today after removing and painting the 3 plastic bits on my rocker cover. Worst design on the VR if you ask me, very inaccessible.
  3. I think you may need to get rid of this version before Admin kick your arse!!!!!
  4. I've just fitted 17s to mine and had all my suspension geometry set up, camber, toe, tracking etc. It handels like a dream. £50 and it's all perfect.
  5. Mate, you've got a tree growing out your sunroof!!! Looks lovely
  6. There is one for sale on ebay at the moment

There is no inlet manifold, its got throttle bodies on it. God I bet it's thirsty on fuel. Its one of the easiest ways to do a VR conversion (no fuel injection etc) but fookin hell it must do about 12 to the gallon if that!!
  8. Got some on my new RH's. They came over delayed from Germany took 3 weeks to get here. Bit of a nightmare to clean behind as they are fitted in one of the Allen Key bolts. Don't know where you can buy them from.
  9. How am I going to beat that?
  10. Oh Mark, its a work of art!!
  11. Proper car soap, sponge, hose and a real chamois does it every time! I've known people to use Fairy liquid!! It's a bloody de-greaser and strips all the polish off!
  12. Yes it bollocks and there have been many polls about this sort of annoying crap before.
  13. Now that the evenings are lighter, its much easier to keep your car clean. My missis knows I'm obsessed with my car and yes I suppose I clean it when it's dirty. But some peoples idea of dirty is somewhat different than others! So, do you wash off the road dust like me, every other day?!! (especially with my new wheels!) Or is it a case of waiting until you can't see out the rear window and there are animals living in your scuttle and sleeping in your footwell before the sponge comes out?
  14. Well Tommy, if I can get it as clean as yours, its worth a grand!
  15. Oooo, Marky I could fry and egg on theat manifold! Nice work mate. Got down to JBS yesterday and I had a fookin water leak. White shit all over the right of my engine bay. Just a small one, all gone now and gettin it fixed this week. WIll look even better with the nice shiney charger on my friend.
  16. As I said in a post the other day, I don't rate boxster S's at all as I had a good canne arouind in one for a bit (plus my sisters boyf has one and he's an arse!!! ) Just didn't like the drive and didn't think it was particularly fast for all the hype. Deffo do a VR though, maybe not Marks charged one though and certianly not Johns beast.
  17. I went down to JBS Autos with John Chantry yesterday and they are a House of Coulour franchise. I had a word with James who owns the place and showed him the 3 little rust spots that are really annoying me and really letting the car down. He had a good look over it and apart from spotting two tiny little dents that I hadn't even noticed (and I'm like a hawk with door dents!) he said its the cleanest MK3 he's seen in ages, (hes probably not seen one in 5 years!!). So I asked him to quote me on paint. I've asked a couple of paint shops and they've said they'd paint the quarter and blow in the do
  18. Cheers for your kind words guys. The owners club does it again! Can't wait for the shows with rest of you now! Special thanks to Mark for the recommendation
  19. Cheers buddy, i've got 205's and they rub on big bumps and when I boot it hard. Think I'll get the rears rolled when I have a rust spot done in the summer.
  20. Well guys, I spent ages mirror polishing my old A3 Rims and now they are off the car. Its taken a whole month to get these as they where sent over with out the special valves. If you look carefully they are situated in an allen key hole. Pretty cool I thought, i'm sure other RH's are the same but it's a new one on me. Discovered on the way home that they rub slightly so may roll the rears. The rubber is pretty crap (ran out of funds!) but I don't drive the car really hard so hopefully I wont notice it too much. They have stiffened up the ride slightly but nothing too bad. I'd like to know what
  21. Well, I ordered some RH Cups from a company near London nearly a month ago and they arrived after a week minus the special valves apparently. I'm now getting to the stage where I'm considering asking for my deposit back and either finding someone who's selling some or ordering some from another company. Its really doing my head in, everything I ever order or buy usually goes wrong!!
  22. Spent hours doing my rims now I'm sick of the sight of them. So they are in the classifieds to pay for my new purchase!
  23. Hey Justin, Has yours got the carbon horn buttons on the steering wheel like the ones in the pic? They look quite sweet.
  24. Wouldn't be a retrim with all that cream plastic. Must have been an option for grannys!! Leather recaros only came in a colour concept as far as I know. I'm surprised to see a VR with no rear headrests.
  25. Hummm, I'll have to have a look. My rear demister works fine, but I'm not sure about the mirrors. Mines not a Highline so will it not have them then?
