Just want the bushes done at the minimum cost really, but want to keep some kind of comfort in the handling of my car.

Binliner, I know this is an old thread but where did you get the cam cover from? I.e. alloy one not a plastic one like Ive got in mine. What car did it come from?

So I guess the powerflex can be fitted by me because they are just inserts then? More than likely get somebody else to fit the rear bushes anyway as I dont have the room to do it myself. Just trying to find the cheapest way of doing it without doing it myself. :-)

Anybody have any experience of uprated rear beam bushes? My bushes are on there way out so need to decide wether to use VAG ones or go uprated. Ive heard uprated ones being just inserts ?! What does this mean? Any opinions?

In comparison I bought some down the local car parts place for £8.99. They dont light up as much as the original orange ones though. You get what you pay for it seems... Cheers Jamie

Does anybody else think that their silver indicator bulbs dont show enough orange? ~ Maybe just the cheepy ones Ive got... Would like to hear who are using what bulbs, what they are like, how much and where you got them from.

Firstly some background to my problem... Ive had 4 people in my car today with luggage in the boot (was doing an airport run). Whenever I went over a bump the rear drivers tyre was catching on the arch. The tyres are 215/40/R16's and the wheels are 8" wide. Running on standard suspension at the mo... The question is, if I put coilovers on (from the group buy :-)) will the problem be worse? ?! I only want to drop it 30mm and dont want the ride to be too harsh as its a daily driver (100 miles per day). At the end of the day I suppose I am asking whether I need to get the archs pulled/rolled

With regards the the door hinge rust problem, if you take it to VW they might sort the problem out for free! They did mine :-) I think it must have still been within the bodywork warranty.

Where did you get the strut brace from siz appeal? And how much? Ive heard stories that you need to relocate the water tank for most strut braces...
