    I have the same problem - i'm hoping its the head gasket (lots of water dropplets in exhaust) cus a new engine goes in next week!

    Can someone who has fitted (or is about to) fk coilovers got a picture of what they are suposed to look like before you put them on? I've got all the bushes and bits from vw but want to make sure i put them together right first time! Had the coilovers for a few months now - about time they went on the car!!!!

    Would the complete brake set-up from an audi A3 1.8T (288mm disks) fit on a VR? Mine is the 280mm set-up at the moment

    How long wpould it take a competant mechanic to remove and install a vr6 engine. I'm wondering how much it will cost me? Any hints or tips from anyone who has done this? Cheers

    UPDATE: Went down same road today and a little bit further up the road was a white van with 2 cameras on the roof - turns out it is a traffic survey camera so i'm hoping *fingers crossed* that i'll get away with it.

    I've had 2 speeding (only just over the limit 1 was a mobile unit) and the other 3 were from a young cop who said i failed to stop at a crossing when there was n't even anyone waiting to cross the road!!!! If it goes to court i'll have to use the "need my car for work" plea and hope they just fine me. If not its find a new job and get the vr in the garage and get it sorted properly

    Whilst driving to work to day i was coming down our local dual carridge way doing about 79 (i believe the limit is 70 whoops!) and due to a lot of traffic about didn't notice that there was a white van on the side of the road with 2 cameras on it (both on poles above van, 1 higher than other) now was this a speed camera van or a traffic survey van? I've got 9 points and if it was a speed camera van i'm screwed! I hoping it was a traffic survey van
