I have read/seen that the standard speakers in the doors and rear cards are 17cm. I'm looking at replacing mine soon and wondering what people are using. I'm looking at the Infinity 6500CS components but these are only 16.5cm (but the holes seem to be slotted so hopefully they'll fit) anyone have any opinions?

I was having a look over mine the other day and decided to look at the aerial as my radio reception is shit! It has a Sony 730 something or other head unit in it and it looks to be that the aerial amp lead is connected into the ISO block on its own. Can't remember what lead from the headunit that it is connected to now!! Am i right in thinking that the amp lead is just a live connection? Should i try connecting it to the switched live wire to see if it makes it any better? I also checked at the back end to make sure it was all OK and i was surprised to pull the roof lining down and find a

Solved! Changed the plugs over the weekend and it misfires no more!! Leads will probably be done soon, just for the sake of it, but much happier now that it's running properly!

I think that's what it's called anyway, the Corrado guys always called it the Serpentine belt. Mine looks like it'll probably need changing soon, is it a pig of a job best left to the likes of Stealth or it a simple (ish) DIY job? Any help? %-6

My VR has got a little bit of a misfire bewtween about 1200-1500rpm. Nothing too major, but it's there. Just free revving it shows as a little bit of rough running, but when driving it tends to give a little bit of a kick as it coughs. Other than that it pulls clean to the red line. I was thinking of trying the plugs first to see if that makes any difference, but is there any other things that it could be? Also, if i come to change the leads (whihc don't look too old at the moment), what do you recommend?

well, it's not a bad one in my eyes! I've got an N plate in black, 3 door, interior is excellent (as new in fact) despite the fact that it has 103k on the clock. It has a couple of light dings on the bodywork that should pull out OK but aren't that obvious anyway. It has a little bubble of rust on one rear arch and a little bit either side under the door seals, but i spoke to Greg Howell of Southam Autobodies yesterday and he's going to do it all for me with any luck. I'm off to see a Highline or 2 tomorrow morning. They are both black 3 doors, with just over 100k. Both have had head gaskets done, along with a fair few bits of work, and one looks to be particularly good condition. I could do with some advice on what sort of thing to look for, be it highline specific or general MK3 VR6 stuff. Am i right in thinking that the Highline black magic colour has a hint of gold?? Things like that! Cheers

i just don't want a 5 door though. I'm willing to hang on till the right thing comes along. I know they're out there, i found loads before i managed to sell the Corrado! I'll just keep looking if i have to!

nope, just a 3 door with aircon, preferable under about 95k miles. Oh, and a later spec one with the completely colour coded bumpers... doesn't have to be perfect, at the moment i can't even find ones worth looking at!

i knew there would be a problem somewhere, normally is with what sounds the almost ideal car...... not after green.....long story but not really the colour for me. Cheers anyway!

i'm back!! Bazz - perhaps sounds of interest, what colour is it? Would prefer the later models with no arch trims/colour coded tops of bumpers etc. so it does appeal. Would prefer at least aircon, but could be swayed if it's nice......... any pics?

Hi guys, unfortunately due to lack of funds now we've got a house, i'm having to sell the Corrado. Once this is gone (see classifieds for more details) i'll be after a nice tidy MK3 VR6 preferably with leather and/or aircon, and as low a mileage as possible for a maximum of £4500. What sort of thing am i likely to get for this sort of money and do you guys know of anything around? Cheers
