  3. Lovely!! The only place i ever see recaro subframes is german e-bay, that could be worth a try to save a few bob but they will probably take a couple of weeks to come over.
  4. Its a piece of piss. The rears fit straight in but you'll have to knock something up as a centre bracket. The fronts can either be taken in by about 5cm on the runners or you can sit the mk3 seat base onto the mk2 subframe.
  5. I have read that its unconnected to the ECU. I yhink i'll give my friendly local alarm bloke a ring, see what he can do for me.
  6. A funny question I know but heres my tale. I've fitted a 2.0 8v into my mk2, i'm having major problems getting it to start because of the transponer immobiliser. I have the chipped key, the transponder ring, the control bow and the wiring to go to the car. My only problem is a grey wire that I can't find where it goes. Now people steal cars with the same immobiliser without the keys but how? If you know where the grey wire goes please post here. If you know how i can start the car by bypassing the immobiliser please PM me or call me on 07752 635287, all PM's/calls will be treated with strict

  8. I thought you had a 24v set up? (if your the real Valver) The engine sounds good but i want to buy a full car so i'll have every part i need in front of me ready for the swap. I'll bve using the 5 stud hubs again so i can have bigger brakes and audi or subaru wheels.

  11. I'm looking at an engine for my mk2, its a 95 one from a corrado. 120,000 miles, too high for a mk2 conversion? What are possible faults/weak points i could come accross with that engine?
  12. No rubbing at all but i'm not that low, I could go lower and it would run somewhere eventualy

  14. I have 25mm adaptors on my wheels which are like a spacer, just make sure you get hubcemetric ones that are a tight fit onto you hub and whel.
  15. For my 128000 miler? Aparently powerflex are better than standard without being as harsh as the ???(red urathene ones from GCC). What have you got and how do you rate them?

  18. I think the schrick is the same for obd 1 & 2, there is just a part of it that can be changed to accept either obd 1 or 2 throttle body. You should be able the buy just that part if you swapped in the future The bit is shown at the back of this pic
  19. My car was born an auto but looks to have been converted to manual at some time, probably when the auto box packed in. A manual conversion (if suitable) could be the way to go if your box turns out to be knackered
