MAF doesn't usually bring up a fault code. Is your car obd1 or 2? I've heard of ISV valve causing issues like this coming off the gas on odb1 or possibly a vacuum leak possibly?

Nothing to be ashamed of my mate, we all have to pop our cherry at some point, and what better show to do it with if there's one thing this club needs is new faces at shows Ill be bringing the kids this one too as they won't get bored, they looking forward to the rocket car and fair

I honestly think that its a bad argument against the schrick and changing the plugs, as you only do it once a year if that, and the removal of the manifold is only a 15 minute job if that I''ve seen schricks go for 600 sheets these days, but then you need to factor in a remap to make the most, alright if you have the money, but much worth while investing in the gearbox if you can

Hi mate, assume you've had it on the VAG-COM and you have a fault code 01177 which relates to "Engine control unit not matched. W wire between control units is OK". To match the ECU, insert the authorized ignition key into the lock and switch on the ignition. Select the immobiliser (address 25) and select Adaptation (group 10). Enter channel 0 (or 00) and select save. Exit the immobiliser address and turn off the ignition, then the car should be able to start. There are also other articles available from http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Immobilizer#Immobilizer_Generation_1 sometimes
