    Corrado VR6 Storm Turbo

Thought I'd share some pics. I am more on the Corrado forum (where there is a much more comprehensive thread) but I lurk here quite a bit (mainly to read the technical bits and perve on cars) so I thought I'd do my bit and add to the site. It's a 1995 corrado storm. I bought it standard in 2010, which meant I had to sell my beloved old 16v... Stuck some all red rears on... Found an old dyno result sheet in the history folder. It' had an original AmD chip and Ram Air, rather optimistic figures! Drove it around like this for a year or so, promising myself that I'd keep it unmolested due

  2. Yeah think I'll wait till i get it all painted anyway, the original idea was to keep it very original, but that idea is gradually going out the window damn you internet for putting ideas in my head! Anyway got a bit more welding done today, I'll let the pics do the talking; Then thought I'd pop the side skirt off to see what it was like underneath...... and the drivers wing crumbled!!!! This wasn't the idea as I was just hoping to get all the welding underneath done and start on the bodywork towards the end of the winter, but it's kind of pushing me to make a start now! On the plus side though

  4. When I was looking into it for mine there was some debate as to whether to run divided manifold or not. The main argument was that due to the fact the turbo was divided u had to run a divided manifold so the turbo would pulse properly :-/........ I was just going to make a top mount with divided flange for mine but I dont think it will make that much difference in fairness. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Old games consoles

Played an Atari and Amiga 1200 at my dads the other day. My mum got the Sega Mega Drive down the other day and I had a go at Marble Madness and Sonic 2. I loved Cannon Fodder and Super frog on the 1200.

    Steering arms.

Haven't fitted one to a golf yet but done quite a few over the years on various cars and vans. Not that hard to do, take off track rod end remove boot where arm meets the rack. Then unscrew the arm at the ball joint. As for specialist tools I find a good pair of stilsons or monkey wrench whatever you want to call it to get a good grip of the end of the arm as it can be quite tight and awkward to get at. A little tip is to lock the steering and push the rack out to get better access. Hopes this helps I'm useless at trying to explain something via text

  8. @NPCS - Different people on here have reported various results. Some say it does next to nothing, others claim significantly improved stopping power. Personally I think there should be some noticeable improvement (otherwise I wouldn't be in the process of doing this upgrade myself), but I don't expect to go through the windscreen when I stamp on the brakes with 312mm disks. It's difficult to say precisely what the difference is unless you conduct a properly scientific experiment. For example, if you upgrade to the 312mm calipers, you may change your brake fluid in the process. If the exis
