  2. It is absolutely brilliant! Still using any excuse just to go out and drive the thing some blurb and pics: For the benefit of some who asked about the stealth turbo: Firtly, I must say the level of service is top notch and I can't recommend the stealth guys enough. Vince and co spent a long time explaining everything that had been done, the reasons why and how to maintain the vehicle, recommending the best plugs, oil, etc. it was obvious that a hell of a lot of work had gone in to the car, and IMO it represented excellent value for money if you're seriously considering turbo but don't feel
  3. Thanks for the offer mate, really kind of you! It just so happens though that a friend is about to scrap his mk3 (a 1.4) so I can nick his mirror. I'm presuming they are the same as the VR6 ones. Will keep you posted though I am looking into better quality boost gauges despite it being a shame to buy one only to rip it apart!
  4. Cheers will look to see what a mk3 rear view mirror looks like and see if I can do it on one. If not the corrado one shouldn't look too out of place!
  5. Really nice, love the doorpods too
  6. Update, mostly pasted from my CF thread and some from the Stealth thread: Setting boost pressure, etc... 7. Hi Zac, no concrete date set but looking like end of next week
  8. Figures are in. Plotted against my Stage 2 supercharger... Thanks to VR6Pete for getting them!
  9. Vince sent me a teaser video today when setting pressure and whatnot. Mapping to come this week, will keep you posted
  10. Progressing nicely mate! Will be interesting to hear how you get on with the 3". I've opted for a custom 2.5" straight through with decat. Let us know how you get on with the 312 brakes too, I considered them but a set of Tarox 6 pot 323s came up at a good price. Will you be attending any shows this year? Hopefully see you at one
  11. Good Work! I'm nearby in the Croydon area and my VRT will hopefully be done in a couple of weeks. I cheated though and got a Stealth kit Interested to hear how you get on!
  12. I'm in the South London/Surrey area and wouldn't mind a meet. Need my car back first though!
  13. Boo! But on the upside you'll have a well sorted motor! Looks the business up close and it'll be good to hear how you get on at a future show Difficult to answer at the moment as I haven't picked it up yet (and have tried not to think about it!), but I believe the price given was £5.5k with a Helix clutch. I've also opted for an LSD, Chains, and the head/gearbox given a once over as well as getting Vince to fit my big brakes (as I couldn't undo the bastard brake hose union!). I have maybe gone a bit overkill, but I wanted some peace of mind. It will definitely cost a fair bit more than the li
  14. That's good to hear! Thanks You going turbo too? Kept that quiet!!
  15. I'll fess up. I booked my car in for a Stage 1+ turbo (with LSD) - I am leaving out the RaceLogic for now as it'd add £1k to the price and there are lots of other costs I had to tackle first (clutch, brakes, etc etc). I can comment once I get it back. Only one downside so far is the time taken (I dropped the car off October 27th). Stealth have an excellent reputation, and as such are always busy which can only highlight how highly regarded Vince and the team are. Needless to say, it's been a tough 10-11 weeks as I cannot wait to have the car back Hopefully all of this bad weather will hav
  16. I will have a Vortech V1 supercharger setup for sale very soon if interested.
  17. Yup, big lurker. Only just started a thread to give something back to the community
  18. Thanks Pete, still so much to do though (especially after looking at your engine bay!) It's about to enter its 7th week at Stealth, I'll try and hold out before revealing it but I'm pretty sure you can guess! I've been told that it'll be ready either just before or just after Xmas. Fingers crossed it is before so that I can enjoy it during my time off work
  19. Ok, last post of the initial bulk and taking me to present day. The Vortech was on the car for about 4 months, it will be for sale very shortly so keep your eyes peeled. The car is currently at Stealth (5th week and counting) having something else done and the wait is killing me! Thankfully I'm off on holiday next week so it should ease the pain probably why I'm making this thread too, VR6 on the brain! I did pick up these a few weeks back though. Colour isn't really my preferred choice but the price was nice... Tarox 6 pot 323mm (I think). Spent about an hour trying to get an 18yr old brak
  20. It was here that I was thinking of selling . I loved the looks, but the VR was struggling to keep up with modern metal. While lurking here I noticed someone was selling a Vortech V1 kit and decided to have another throw of the dice! The 3 week wait at Stealth was a long'un! Stage 2, nice results. The V1 sounded epic! Now to show you all my shame, the grotty power plant! Enjoyed it for a bit, took it to the autometrix castle Combe day where the corrados went on a parade lap...
  21. Took it to a local paint shop and had the works done. Not a bare metal respray, but enough to look presentable! Unfortunately I didn't get any photos of the process as I was away with work... Had to collect it from the paint shop owners house for some odd reason (him in the background lol). Think he just wanted an excuse to drive it! I thought I'd probably spent a bit too much at this point so I decided to enjoy the car and take it to some shows. Stanford Hall 2013: Ready to go: Motorsport at the Palace: Sorry for the randomly crap pics, maybe I need to buy a proper camera! More
  22. With the interior almost done I decided to sort out the 4x4 ride height and wheels. I bought a set of KW V2 coilovers which have been brilliant, and somehow managed to get my hands on a set of genuine BBS CH006 17x8.5 ET35 5x100 wheels. On top of this I found my exhaust was rotten so stuck a Milltek on, which later got replaced by a Jetex. I took all the bits to Reuben at Tuningwerkes in Croydon as it was way too cold to work outside! Set a bit higher initially so that the coilovers could settle. Sorry for the crap phone pics After a couple of weeks or so... I had planned to space the re
