andy 0
Slightly confused here, I have a 94 model VR6 with a single 16 pin diagnostic socket. Thinking about getting a diagnostic scan tool but everywhere I have looked seems to only make products for OBD 2 cars. I thought mine was OBD 1 but now am curious. Also I have heard that there are pinouts etc on the web for making your own lead to interface with a laptop, can anyone confirm/provide address. Cheers :-)

acf8181 0
it'll use the same cable as OBD2.
blackburnvr6 0
vince at stealth told me its same cable as adb2 just odb1 soft wear
acf8181 0
the software should already have different programs for obd1 and obd2, then its the same cable for all except pre '94 obd1 cars, which require an adapter cable that plugs into the obd2 cable.
