Earwig 89
Are you gonna use it much for 1/4 mile times ?Or would you prefer a bit of comfort ?The way I look at it many of the rallies you see around are usually stripped shells with a cage and little else. If you wanted to be different it would be good to kit it out in luxury :-)So what route ?Mark.

petervr6 0
dub singh i did the same thing with a rear bumer mk3 which had a number plate recess cut into it made a plate screwed it and the fibre glassed it then finished it off with filler it but it kept cracking. dont want to put any hopes down or any think just saying what happend to me but then it was laying around for a while.cars going to look excellent mate. antera309 3
Bumpers are tricky things to fill because they are so flexible. I tried smoothing my original one by plastic welding plates into the holes and bridging with fibreglass, then flexible filler and it was a total disaster - the thing didn't last 5 minutes (it was replaced by a smoothed GRP replica). It must all be down to technique because Paynes & other bodyshops smooth plastic bumpers all the time without any problems. Mr_GTI 0
glad to see you getting on with it, hope those bits you had are coming in handy, am looking at a VR myself now and would love to go the super charged route.Danny
Petesvw 0
Filling the bumper and then leaving it at least a day will give you an advantage over sinking, this the only real way to deal with it if you are not plaggi welding or using a high quality resin! But tbh, i have suffered sinking with resin too!
