DazzaVR6 2
Is there an easy way to check to find out whats kiling my battery. Have checked the battery when running and the alternator is charging the battery but after about 4 weeks after a full charge the battery is dead again. Have bought another battery and the same happens so its not the battery?CheersDarren

jasonoldy69 1
Are any of the interior lights staying on, especially the boot light?Mines slowly running flat and a electrician said it might be the alarm/imobiliser (which doesn't work atm). Getting the alarm replaced soon to see if it does make a difference.Good luck
DazzaVR6 2
Right slight update. Have just put my charged battery back in the car and still it wont start. everything else works like windows etc and the car tries to start but slowly like its dead? Thinking it has to be a loose connection somewhere or maybe a bad earth. Really starting to bug the crap out of me lol
p0u1 14
no it sounds like your battery is just reached the end off its life and its no longer hold or gaining anoth charge
Pearsy47 1
i had somthing like that i got the batt tested, the alternater and starter motor ! its worth a check if you can !
p0u1 14
if you got a mulity meter you can just messure the voltege coming out of the battery then when you turn the key is theres a huge drop in the battery voltege then your battery is dead, if it starts and the voltege dont rise the alternater isnt charging the battery. DazzaVR6 2
Yea done all the above checks. Getting 12.24 volts from the battery then when started I'm getting just below 14 volts. I'm getting a clicking sound now so pretty sure the solenoid on the starter has had it.
