Awesome driving routes

Looking ahead to next year and thinking of different things to do, i'd like to try out some of the iconic driving roads in the UK. If distance was no object what recommendations have people got of ultimate driving routes for petrol heads to navigate?

Ideally post a link to the route or list so that it is easily found.

Does anyone know the route driven by Jeremy Clarkson in his Escos. Think it was something pass?

Theres the roads round Wales that autocar use.....can dig them out as someone did it on R32OC

I'm thinking of cherry picking a couple of routes to do next year and offer it up to others if there is any interest.

North Wales looks good and if you're going to drive the length of the country, might aswell do it for a charity and get sponsored.

Well I might not be able to do the ring at Easter so it might just have to be a play around the UK roads.

I may be going on holiday for 19 nights yay

i know its only local but do the 272 from winchester thro to east sussex dam good fun mate used to do it on the bike

Same here. Love the road and know every bump, twist and imperfection.

And using stealth tactics. You find yourself scanning the skies for spotter planes.

The roads in wales are great especially round snowdonia. Good camp sites aswell id be up for something like this.

hmmmm buttercup pass saturday, camp/beer/bbq fix broken vr saturday evening, camp out in a random feild then drive snowdonia way sunday day time then back tto south coast sunday evening. south coast to wales not doing any motorways is actually quite good and only a few hours work.

if you want quick blast roads i say the selbourne/liss roundabout out to alton then hartney witney. some nice fast straight roands and some twisty bumpy stuff to keep you awake
