Hiding Vr6 Ht leads

Recommended Posts

Hiding the leads is pretty easy, polishing everything/ making those smoothed covers was the hard part!

1. Remove leads from the plugs (leave them connected to the coilpack to save time)

2. Remove upper manifold

3. Fit leads back on plugs (make sure they're on properly because once you're finished you'll have to take the manifold off to get to them!)

4. Position them so that they won't foul the upper manifold when you refit it and bundle them neatly together with cable ties. While you're at it find the best route under the aux water pump etc so they're neat and well hidden.

5. Refit upper manifold over the top of them

Job done... like I say covering the holes left in the manifold is the harder part ;)

wow topic starter lol......cool i got shimmel leads but they super long! did try originally when i put the inlet back on but was concerned about the heat from manifold or inlet being an issue.......

looks like it will have to come off again...

yeah sorry i did meant inlet bolts, but he also done up every other bolt waaaaaay to tight, and nothing will undo, i had to use an air impact gun for removing lorry wheels just to remove my car wheels.

i tried using an allen key and tapping it round with a mallet but it just bent the allen key, also tried a small impact gun but couldnt get it into the gap

think you need a heavy duty allen key dude ,i usually put a ring spanner on the end and do it that way to get some leverage.

Maybe spray them with a bit of wd40 , dont know how he could of overtightend them as its quite restricted for space...

otherwise come down essex way and i will give you a hand

the fucking clown (pardon my language but they are best words to describe him) done EVERYTHING up using an air spanner/ratchet thing. it wasnt even an impact gun just an air tool with a socket on the end. i've got one of them allen key in a socket thingy's but cant get a bloody wrench in there as well.

im so worried about shearing off the bolt heads you go no idea. i've wrecked 6 wheel bolts, 2 rear lower shock mounting bolts, 1 tps bolt, 1 tb bolt blah blah blah justtrying to fix things as they need replacing, plus i cant remove the top off the front shocks coz he done them up the same way.
