Jk* 0
On my way home last night from Torquay on the old Plymouth road between Avonwick and Totnes i found myself in a bit of bother. Doing about 50mph i came across a dear running in front of me, my first reaction was to avoid it, job done! Unfortunately i then found myself on a grass patch skidding towards the depths of nowhere...stuck the brakes and handbrake on but it did nothing. Next thing i know im in 20 degree ditch front end first in a tree and fence! To say im gutted is an understatement, just before the respray was due too! Anyway, onwards and upwards, and least im ok! Cost me £220 to get it back home, 4 hours i was stuck in the ditch! Here are some pics of the damage:
poultonjoe 0
That sucks but be grateful that its not a total write off and can be repaired! If you were getting a respray anyway then whats a couple of hundred quid more?
Jk* 0
Very true, but i wasnt going to get it done until Easter when i have 2 weeks off work. Now i dont have the money.

richievr 1
at least you didn't spend your money getting it painted and then do that! that would have been EVEN more harsh.hope you get it sorted buddy..
VR40 0
Oh JK bad luck man. Are you gonna get it repaired along with the o/s/r damage or you claiming for a write off?
Jk* 0
Nope, the insurance will not be informed of this mishap. Just going to get it repaired, just finding it difficult to get hold of all the parts.
VR6Rich 3
Sorry to hear this mate :-(I did exactly the same just over a year ago, but wasnt a deer that caught me out, just a dark 90 degree bend! Just think yourself lucky that the ditch wasnt full of water as mine was and luckily the engine survived.Whats the inner wing like? Have you had a look under the bonnet yet? Does the engine run ok and does it drive fine?
Jk* 0
Yeah, the engine is fine, and it drives ok. Only thing is that i have a slight grinding noise on the odd occassion. The inner wing doesnt seem to bent, nothing a bit of jiggin wont fix anyhow.
