Jk* 0
Is there anything i should know before i try and fit them to my mk3? The car is lowered 40mm as far as i know. Thanks in advance.
SankysVR6 1
I haven't fitted mine as yet.But there was some talk about the center caps on the rear wheel might not sit flush, and might stick out by 2mm or so.
binliner 0
yeah they do but I flattened my wheel bearing covers with a hammer to get them to fit Only other thing you need to know (if you dont already) is that you'll need to bin the 225/45 tyres as theyre the wrong size for a mk3
Jk* 0
Yeah, as you both mentioned ive heard the same. The 225 will be going for 205/40 rubber. Does it not damage the wheel bearing covers, or make it more difficult to remove them if necessary??
spindat45 0
Neither. All you will be doing is flattening them slightly so that the centre caps fit flush. If you have Solitudes then I have been told that you can use the VW centre caps from them without having to take a hammer to the bearing covers. I've left the Audi centres on mine. Just personal preferance Kevin
binliner 0
you can use the vw centre caps but they still dont fit

kalv 0
oopss... saw TT and made assumptions.. need to re-educate myself...!
MJ Vr6 79
Its piss easy dude, hammer the bearing caps a little so the caps sit inn nicely, with your arches i suggest you roll them, tyre size would be 205/40/17 84r... got these wheels on my ride and the mrs ColourConcept
Jk* 0
I may have a slight problem fitting them then, as my n/s rear quarter is dented in abit. The current 7x17 i have on there @ the moment are fine, but will i come across problems with the TT's?
purple highline monster 0
just offer one up and bolt it on, lower the car gently and check the clearance, it will be obvious if it gonna touch, anyway if its already dented just use the same hammer you cave your grease caps in to "modify" the arch back out a bit, if its only the outer skin of the arch i doubt its shifted enough to touch anyway?
